The Grüber Revolution
The Grüber Revolution was a series of political and societal revolutions within the former Holy State of Ymir in 2001 PS, following the colonization of the Northern Perenum Isles by foreign powers, and the establishment of mining outposts near Ymiran territories. It commenced with the siege of Isernchawe, and ended with the execution of the Ealdesdrakon Heimiger II and the rest of his temple, as well as the establishment of the Syndicated Union of Ymir.
The Revolution was a swift and brutal affair, which saw a mix of military dissidents combined with a large number of armed civilians storming the capital and execution the Ealdesdrakon in a public showcase of force. The leader of the rebellion, a political author and military commander named Mack Grüber, assumed immediate role as the Prime Minister, alongside a cabinet of political and military leaders who would help establish a stronger military-industrial system within the nation.
Given the weakened nature of the Ymiran military at the time, loyalist forces were quickly overwhelmed by the embittered Syndicalists. The last vestiges of the Temple's Ubersdrakon were executed within a week of the revolution's start. Loyalist generals were given opportunities to renounce their loyalties in favor of the Syndicalist party's goals.
After the provisional government was swiftly established within the capital, dissident factions of other socialist parties, and those that opposed the Syndicalists, were slowly dealt with in an event known as the Great Purge.
