The Cathedral of St. Maerheard was filled to the brim with dignitaries, aristocrats, and commoners alike, all gathered to witness the coronation of Emperor Alchred II of Eambald, Duke of Uabewus, Lord Protector of Nedertrup, Defender of the Faith, Bearer of the Crown, Blade of Rashad, Lord Protector of Lussia, Lord Protector of Noreska and High Kern of Noreska.
The air was thick with anticipation as the new Emperor made his way toward the throne, accompanied by his retinue of knights and advisers. The sound of trumpets filled the hall as he took his seat and the Archbishop of St. Maerheard approached him with the crown.
With great reverence and ceremony, the crown was placed upon the head of Alchred II, marking the beginning of his reign as the ruler of Rashad. The cathedral echoed with cheers and applause, and the other 18 dukes present stepped forward to pledge their loyalty to the new Emperor.
One by one, each duke knelt before the throne, placing their hands upon the hilt of their sword and solemnly swearing their allegiance to Alchred II. The Emperor accepted their oaths with grace and gratitude, promising to rule justly and to protect Rashad from its enemies.
The ceremony continued with the Emperor's first official act, the signing of a proclamation announcing his ascension to the throne. This was followed by a grand feast for the Dukes, featuring the finest dishes and wines that Rashad had to offer.
As the sun began to set on this historic day, the cathedral emptied out and the crowds dispersed, eager to spread the news of Alchred II's coronation throughout the land. And so began a new era for Rashad, with the hope and promise of a brighter future under the leadership of its new Emperor.
