Following complaints to local trade boards, the Ministry of Agriculture began an investigation with the Ministry of Manpower into the constitution of so-called 'gelato' products on the market. Following this investigation, several issues were found. These issues were confirmed by Divinian officials after it was decided to reach out internationally.
With regards to the item hitherto labeled as 'Grandis Gelato', the Ministry of Agriculture in conjunction with the Ministry of Manpower feel the need to issue the following statement and injunction:
The term 'gelato', as used, is to be removed from all packaging, branding, and advertising before a period of three months hence or else be found to be in violation of the Act Mandating the Labelling of Ingredients and Application of Health Advisories of the Year 7602 during the Second Year of Haimfaðs. Gelato may only be applied to and used for products which have been made from the whole milk, without reduction of more than ten percent by volume through evaporation or other methods, and which has not had its volume increased by more than one percent through the addition of liquids. The Þolish products not matching this definition and instead being made from milk concentrates must instead be labeled 'iced creams' or 'sweet frozen dairy products' for legal purposes within the Raikh and its dependencies.
Any items found to not be in compliance with this order are to be removed from sale or else have the manufacturers and distributors face fines for their incorrect labelling of the product.
