With aid from the Order of Journalists, the Government and the Magdali Diocese, a small association of Magdali Faithful called the Legion of Mary planned to go Global. Their goal: gather all charitable souls in the world, and help the wounded Rodina. They had already raised thousands of Escudos at home, and sent forth several shipments worth of medical goods, food, clothes, and basic supplies. They hoped that they could muster all willing Christians in the world, but for now, the call had only reached Divinum, WTC, Sheen, Moderal, and Acelion.

While the international call for aid was underway, the Legion began raising goods within its own borders. Support was apathetic on the expected areas, with the Mother Province and Costa do Carvão being the two largest contributors to the humanitarian aid efforts.
Not long after, the humanitarian convoys began their work. Taking care of the wounded, bringing food to desolate villages, helping the populace rebuild, burying the dead. The Church, for their part, with the little apathetic support it had received, began preparing missions to Rodina. Wooden churches were erected in the countryside, and the priests began doing what they did best; Tending to the spiritual needs of the populace. The Rodinans thought that God, if he even existed at all, had long abandoned them. But hope is a resilient thing, and it takes only a spark to ignite a fire. The Carvoans proved themselves to be the most useful, as many of the tribesmen brought with them simpler techniques for farming and basic survival, that while less efficient, relied less on infrastructure that simply did not yet exist on the war-torn province.

Cardinal Derek McGuire had heard the call from the Legion of Mary and decided that it was in the interests of the Sheenish Churches that a centralised system of collecting and sending charitable donations should be set up in the whole Association, as such he set up and organised the Sheenish Legion of Mary for this purpose, with little resistance from the other cardinals of the Association.
