Sensing a slight dip in the discussions and having received reports of mass military movements in the far east, in the state of Rodina, the Hauhkuno felt it was now best for him to bring up the issue of the spreading Red Terror. As they were far off and in an unimportant part of the world, declaring war was out of the question, but formally declaring opposition to their perverse agenda and in such an international setting could very well harm them on the world stage and stunt their 'world revolution'. Standing up and looking around the table, the Hauhkuno began to speak: 'There are many people in the world who really do not understand, or claim not to understand, what the great issue is between the traditional order of the world and the modernist world. Let them go to Rodina… There are some who say that communism is the wave of the future. Let them go to Rodina… And there are even a few who say that it is true that communism is an evil system, but it permits us to make progress to a kinder and more equal society. Let ija fra Rodinja koman— let them go to Rodina!' He slammed his fist firmly into the table. 'Life has many difficulties, and society is not perfect,' he stated, 'but we have never had to put a wall up to keep our people in.' He had in fact had to try very hard to keep many dissidents out of his realm. 'Prosperity is indivisible from stability and tradition, and when one man rises above his station, all suffer for it. When all think they are too great for their lots in life, then we can look forward to that day when this nation is joined with those lost to the dusts of time and crumbled beneath the waves, never a-more to rise up again. We can look forward to the day when man turns against man, for he thinks it unfair for others to have more than him, and for all to either live filthily in the mud of equality or die for the sin of providing for better future.' He paused a moment, looking around to see if anyone would challenge him, but so far everyone held their peace. 'I for one do not wish to see these things come to pass, and say that these communists are no better than the Jergtrau (Georgist) menace that we have only so recently fought in our Raikh. As such, I declare that no man of the Raikh shall be a friend to the communist and that all actions taken to discomfort them are to be applauded, and ask that others stand up and be counted and show the world that they too shall suffer not the communist to spread its vile message of destruction.' He had done it and without any interruption, one final look around and a quick nod, and he confirmed to himself it was done. 'I thank you all for your time.' He sat back down. Fedir was taken back by the shock of this sudden outburst. He was no trained diplomat, and he was only a somewhat educated man, but he was a firm believer in the cause of Rodina, and surrounded by these so called prestigious people does one of his fathers sayings come to mind: A pig has its own nature; no one can take that away from him, it can’t be changed, why blame the poor thing? "Sir, the red revolution in Rodina is no threat to the establishment of you're fine nations and traditions, the red revolution is an alternative way of living. We the people believe that communism and peace is what one day will rule the world, and we believe that all your nations in time will see to Rodina for partnership and peace. The General Secretary Ivan Koldan does not seek war or conflict with the world on behalf of a world revolution. He only seek to make communism work in Rodina so the rest of the world can see our success and then follow" He takes a small break just to drink a little water before going on: "My father always said ;Today’s pig is tomorrows bacon. And that is where Rodina is today. We are the pig gathering up the pieces of an old corrupt Empire and becoming the bacon that we all desire." Fedir stand up before going on. "But you can't feed your family if the pigs run away! And if the pig run away, then we need to bring it back to the fold! And yes, sometimes you need a fence to keep your family and pigs safe! Especially when the wolf stalk just outside of reach. And if the pigs are in danger, then we must protect it, even with force if we need to! And that is where we stand in the east. People of the former Empire of Ridna that supported the cause are trapped in rebel provinces and regions that had been part of Rodina for centuries, regions that now still is in open revolt and threatening the stability of Rodina. We the People's Republic of Rodina are the successor state of the Empire of Rodina, and we will not abandon our brothers and sisters. You might call it military aggression we call it bringing stability back to our wounded land!" Fedir sit back down once he realize he was starting to get a little too excited and makes a final statement. "The issue in the east is an internal affairs issue of Rodina, not one of conquest, nor one of imperialism." 'Bacon indeed, ready for the fire too.' Blotrasett quipped. 'Tell us, where are your nobles, your monarch, and his family? Where are those that once owned the factories and what did you do to them to get said factories? How can you claim to be a successor to something which you yourselves killed? You can not be! You are nothing more than common thieves and plunderers.' He now fixed eyes with the jumped up peasant. 'Your kind's weak claims and grasps at the legacy of your betters, those betters that you yourselves murdered, shows us just how weak your claims of "peace" really are.' He stood up straight than before and let out a might roar of 'The Raikh to-day, the Raikh tomorrow, and the Raikh for a thousand years! We will never break bread with nor accept one that rejects the very basis of civilisation and that acts like the snake in the grass. Your thinly veiled imperial conquests in the east will never be accepted by us or any of the right thinking peoples of the world and we will bury you when your end comes nigh. Communism has no future, so long as sanity and tradition reign supreme.' Done listening to the scum and trying to enlighten him, he sat down winked at the pretty young thing to his side. Enough politicking for the day, he needed to start planning his strategy for later.

"If you two are going to fight," Lord Walter said with a sigh, "at least do it out in the hall so the rest of us can have talks like sane people." he finished, resting his left hand on his rapier, addressing those from Sadalen and Rodina. He had witnessed times a many where his father, and eventually his older brother, had ordered soldiers to drag those in a debate out into the hall so that way they could settle it via fisticuffs while the meeting would go on in a more peaceful manner.

Anthiese, leveraging her full height, stood up next.
“Yes by the divine that’s enough prattling on! Let Rodina romp about in the tundra for all we care.” Eyeing the man to her side, she continued. “You can’t very well stop their expansion on your own. And no one has any better claim to that blighted land anyway. I always thought the men of Sadalen valued actions over words.”
Then she rounded on the representatives from Grand Maren. Not even looking down to meet their gaze she said simply. “Your request is sufficiently humble. I approve.”
With that she plopped back into her chair unceremoniously. In the quiet of the room, however, it was audible that she had called the entire meeting a “great waste of air”.

Considering for a moment whether he should let his instincts get the better of him and batter the communist to death with his chair, the Hauhkuno realised that would probably not be the most diplomatic thing to do, even if his host had just challenged him to take action. Sufficiently cowed and happy with the attacks he had made, he simply stayed seated and idly imagined fighting the farmer in an arena.

Getting up from his seat, the Hauhkuno made his way over and took out a nice quill and quickly scribbled his signature on the treaty, followed by adding his personal stamp and seal to it.
He then returned to his seat.

Rodica pulled out some red wax from the inside of her coat pocket. lays it on the table in front of her, reaches once again into her coat pocket and produces a candle and some matches. She then draws the dagger at her side, gathers all the materials and walks forward to the document where she melts some wax onto the paper and stamps it with the hilt of her dagger. A single four pointed star is left on the red wax. Inside the star is a circle.
