The Migration

The Dukes Sat around the table again to the squabbling that erupted every meeting. The Emperor sat at the head of the table and watched as the dukes argued over the new developments, The race to the North was seen as a little worrying to the Dukes as a whole but what to do about it was the debate. Duke Ricsige Allric proposed to establish a major base of operations in the north to keep an eye on the activities and monitor the northern passage. While Duke Wiermund Legrass opposed this saying that a colony that far north would have many issues especially with the cold. Allric responded by saying they could have some support from the Noreksans who where experts in operating in the cold north. The Emperor then spoke, "If you wish to set up a colony in the north I will allow it, However you will be moving there, Your entire family will move to the north and establish yourselves as the masters of the Winter. However your current Holdings will be removed from your control" To this Duke Allric was stunned. "You mean giving up what for the last 800 years has been our ancestoral home?" "I will remind you that you were the one who proposed this Idea so you shall be the one to carry it out." With that the Dukes headed back to their Dukedoms.
