Aethelburg and Hrotsvitha travelled with much fanfare to the Docks to sail to the ID accompanied by their Farther and much of the Rashadian court as well as a significant portion of the Imperial Guard with the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 7th and 21st Guard Regiments to provide security. The Passage of the Convoy was impressive with a massive cruise ship taking center stage. The Trip past the northern point and along the coast of Yimir was slightly stressful given the large ice movements that sometimes occurred but they passed without to much incident. The Sisters stood with their farther on the bow of the Ship watching the Metropolis of St Helena Emerge from the horizon. He did feel worried with his Daughters going to be living in this new Country but from what he heard they were good husbands. He also thought this might be a time to discuss things with the Empress. The Emperor was the first to disembark (following the customary guards formations and a herald announcing his arrival) followed closely by his two daughters.

It had been a struggle to loosen Counclior Durots iron grip on the purse strings for not only one, but two weddings, yet Cosmin had managed. A little dip into the DOC coffers to subsidize an event like this was deemed well worth it, especially with some less than idle threats directed at his youngest son in Estraria. So the Councilor of Unity got his way, and the visiting emperor and his entourage were greeted with the full honors of a military band, representatives of the 7th Fusiliers, Vernal Priestesses, and the Artillery Corps. He even managed to drag 28 of the free imperial princes to attend to the visitors, who were always keen to turn up their nose at Imperial events.
Straight as a ramrod, Councilor Avitus presented himself to the emperor, and introduced himself before bowing deeply. “Your Majesty, it is both my great honor and privilege to welcome you to the Imperium Divinium. I do hope you will find her as suitable a home for your daughters as your nation itself was. And of course, I pray you enjoy your stay. The nuptial ceremonies are set to take place in St. Charles Cathedral, on the Capitoline Hill, not far from the palace. It is the traditional location for marriages of this caliber, and her Ephemeral Majesty thought it prudent to be located close by, should you wish to attend to affairs of state while you are here. Shall we?” He gestured to the fleet of vehicles with another sweeping bow.

The Emperor and his daughters moved to the car where they embarked and moved through the jewel of the Imperium Divinium followed by the Guards. Their Uniforms are deep shades of purple in their full ceremonial regalia. The Men were soon escorted to their barracks and the Imperial Party continued on with just a single Regiment escorting them to the Palace. The Guards would help the Palace guard rotate through every 6 hours between the 4 Foot Guards with the Guard Cavalry procuring horses for the ceremony propper.

The Cathedral of St. Charles was a stunning piece of architecture to most Divinians. Started in the 12th century, the building had long been revered as a harmonious blending of Aerali’i and Latin culture, and her structure reflected much of the history of the empire. Purple tiles decorated the roof in sweeping mosaics: a color the people had spent generations perfecting and paying for. Inside the marbled hall, the baptismal font pulled from a natural spring, it’s waters constantly flowing from a fountain near the altar, and running in rivulets along the aisle down to the front of the building. Specially designed gutters had been designed, with small paths over the stream allowing the congregation to file into the chairs placed inside the hall. The finest of Divinian society had already assembled, waiting patiently for the ceremony to begin.
Duke Estrana stood at the altar with his son, who was stone faced as he waited to fulfil his duty. The match had been less than a welcome surprise. Not that Christoph was opposed to marriage, he was simply at a loss on how to feel about these people. He had half expected to be pushed off on a fellow Latin. Still, the contentment his own parents felt in their arranged marriage gave him hope. He twisted the sword knot on his waist absentmindedly, wondering if his bride even spoke their language.
Eugene, on the other side of the aisle, smiled cooly at his mother, waggling his eyebrows in an attempt to break her taciturn expression. He too, had not expected marriage. While the acceptance back into his family had been a relief since Catherine’s death, the need to acquiesce to marriage was not one he cared for. Tying himself down to one woman was not in his plans, and the entire family had known it. The Empress leaned forward, brushing a piece of lint off him as she spoke with severe quiet.
“Eugene, I don’t think I need to stress the importance of this match. You will not go about whoring so long as your wife draws breath. You’ve disgraced your fathers legacy long enough. So help me you will do your duty and do it properly.” She stood back smiling brightly, before adding “And if you fail me, you’ll wish your sister had ended your life in the succession war. I’ll have you handed over to the Aerali’i.”

Outside the sisters took each arm of Alwyne as he walked towards the door of the Cathedral with both Daughters dressed in a perfect white dress with the dual trains flowing back behind carried by their ladies in waiting Flanked on both sides by 2 regiments of Immaculately dressed Soldiers their weapons raised in salutation to the pair of brides. The doors swung open to the elegant music of the Choirs lining the upper gallery's and the Massive organ mixed with the sharper and more piercing trumpets from the sides, the adoring crowd lining the benches of the Cathedral. The girls watch nervously while the people on either side having never been in the same room with this many foreigners. Alwyne and his daughters soon reached the front and the Emperor took his seat to start the ceremony.

Pope Celestine stood in place at the altar, happy to see the weddings carried out with such efficiency. He invited the congregation to stand before speaking:
“Dearly beloved, you have come together into the house of the Church so that in the presence of the Church’s minister and the community your intention to enter into Marriage may be strengthened by the Lord with a sacred seal. Christ abundantly blesses the love that binds you. Through a special Sacrament, he enriches and strengthens those he has already consecrated by Holy Baptism, that they may be faithful to each other for ever and assume all the responsibilities of married life. And so, in the presence of the Church, I ask you to state your intentions.”
Have you come here to enter into Marriage without coercion, freely and wholeheartedly?
Are you prepared, as you follow the path of Marriage, to love and honor each other for as long as you both shall live?
Are you prepared to accept children lovingly from God and to bring them up according to the law of Christ and his Church?
Since it is your intention to enter the covenant of Holy Matrimony, join your right hands, and declare your consent before God and his Church.
[The bridegroom says: I, (Name), take you, (Name), for my lawful wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part.
The bride says: I, (Name), take you, (Name), for my lawful husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part.]
“(Name), do you take (Name) for your lawful wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do you part?” [The bridegroom replies: I do.]
“May the Lord in his kindness strengthen the consent you have declared before the Church and graciously bring to fulfillment his blessings within you. What God has joined, let no one put asunder. May the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob, the God who joined together our first parents in paradise, strength and bless in Christ the consent you have declared before the Church, so that what God joins together, no one may put asunder.
Bless, O Lord, these rings which we bless in your name. so that those who wear them may remain entirely faithful to each other, abide in peace and in your will.”
