Treaty of peace between the Tripartite Allied and Associated Powers, and the East Seas Alliance
The Empire of Sadalen, Kingdom of West Thosel Cransconia, and the Technocratic Confederation of Dunwik, recognized in the present treaty as the Tripartite Allies,

Understanding that individually, the nations of New Respite, Magdalenum, Moderal, and finally Duom Asderaordia, requested and were granted armistice on January the first, 1901, for the pursuit of peace,
The Tripartite Allies and Associated Powers, being equally desirous that the war in which they were successively involved directly or indirectly and which originated in the declaration of war by Magdalenum on Sadalen, should be replaced by a firm and durable peace,

Who having communicated their full powers found in good and due form have agreed as follows:
From the coming into force of the present Treaty the state of war will terminate.
From that moment and subject to the provisions of this Treaty official relations with any of the previous member States of the East Seas Alliance, will be resumed by the Allied and Associated Powers.
Part I: On the Political Clauses concerning New Respite
The following political enactments are hereby to be agreed upon by all contracting parties, and to be properly enacted in the nation of New Respite in due time and good form, for the purpose of maintaining peace between the High Contracting parties:
Article I: The nation of New Respite is to be recognized by all High Contracting parties as a protectorate of West Thosel Cransconia. As a dependent country, New Respite will maintain local autonomy over its internal affairs, while recognizing suzerainty of the superior Thoselian nation without being considered a direct possession.
Article II: The Protectorate Status of New Respite will therefore, be recognized as being inferior to the government of West Thosel Cransconia, but not the direct territorial claim of the head of state of said kingdom.
Article III: The protectorate status of New Respite shall be considered to exist for the extent of fifty years, unless both Suzerain and Protectorate agree to the formal dismissal of said relationship prior to the time implicated in this treaty.
Article IV: The nation of New Respite shall henceforth engage in trade with foreign powers.
Article V: New Respite shall not discriminate between the High Contracting Parties or any other nation when conducting trade, outside the appropriate governmental channels of conducting embargo, preferential trade deals, or tariffs.
Article VI: The Empire of Sadalen shall, at their discretion, have free access to two ports in the territory of New Respite, for a period of twenty years. Following this period, New Respite and Sadalen may renegotiate the use of this port.
Part II: On Political Clauses concerning Moderal
The following political enactments are hereby to be agreed upon by all contracting parties, and to be properly enacted in the nation of Moderal in due time and good form, for the purpose of maintaining peace between the High Contracting parties:
Article I: the Empire of Moderal shall willingly accept the replacement of their predominant naval families with suitable candidates selected by the Tripartite Allied Powers. The families selected shall be of Moderali citizenship with adequate means to uphold the duties of said office.
Article II: Two hostages from among the ruling families of Moderal shall be held as wards in either West Thosel Cransconia or Sadalen, in perpetuity. These hostages will be treated as wards of the ruling families of either government, and treated in a manner deemed appropriate befitting their status while in their host nations.
Article III: Given the settlement of Sadaler and Thoselian citizens in Moderali territory, and the dominance of the Tripartite Alliance over the Moderali, the Empire of Moderal shall be bound to the Ottling Code for these settlers.
Article IV: As penance for their treachery during the course of armed conflict, and fitting their status as a nation dominated by superior powers, the Empire of Moderal shall henceforth be bound to the Morthal Naval Treaty, and all likewise international naval treaties hereafter.
Article V: Moderal shall not maintain an army exceeding 100,000 armed personnel, and shall legally no longer allow conscription into their armed forces.
Part III: On Political Clauses Concerning Duom Asderaordia
Article I: The Queen Theodora shall write formal letters of apology to all nations who have previously aided her in her fight against the Illhaco. These letters shall be written, signed and sealed, dated, and held in duplicate in the Asderaordian capital as well as in the capitals of every nation who is entitled to the above mentioned letters.
Article II: A yearly obsidian tribute will be given to every one of the Tripartite Allied and Associated powers for a period of ten years. This tribute shall fill a cargo vessel with a storage capacity of no less than 376,699 cubic feet.
Article III: A tribute of at least three-hundred severed skulls shall be annually be offered to the nation of Sadalen, for a period of ten years, as recompense for their brutality.
Article IV: Duom Asderaordia shall be bound to the Morthal Naval Treaty, and all subsequent international naval treaties, in perpetuity.
Article V: The above mentioned nation shall, with the signing of this treaty, legalize cocaine. Any tarriffs shall be decided by the Tripartite Allies.
Article VI: Under the guidance of the Tripartite Allies and Associated Powers, the government of Duom Asderaordia shall formally recognize the establishment of a senate for the purpose of officially legislating the nation. Official observers from the Allied and Associated powers will be allowed seats within the senate for a period of ten years.
Article VII: Five gods of the Asderaordian pantheon shall be made anathema, at the discretion of Sadalen. Their worship in Asderaordia or her territory shall hold a penalty punishable by death.
Article VIII: A Religious Practices Council, to be staffed by representatives from West Thosel Cransconia, Dunwik, and Sadalen, will convene to establish the appropriate official religion of Duom Asderaordia.
Article IX: Duom Asderaordia shall not develop nor maintain chemical weapons of any kind.
Article X: The army of Duom Asderaordia shall not exceed one hundred thousand men, nor shall they conscript men into service in the armed forces.
Article XI: Slavery is hereby made illegal in Duom Asderaordia and her trrritories, in perpetuity.
Article XII: Plebiscites are to be conducted in all former Illhaco territories conquered in the previous conflict, to determine whether or not they wish to maintain political ties with Duom Asderaordia. Should they wish to break ties, the territories may seek international relations as sovereign powers as they see fit, and shall not be impeded in any way political, military, or economic by Duom Asderaordia.
Article XIII: The above mentioned nation shall not develop, build, buy, or maintain any heavier than air aircraft for military purposes.
Article IXV: Fifteen-thousand Duomish subjects are to be given as slaves to the Allied and Associated powers, distributed equally among them.
Article XV: Any existing defensive alliances between Duom Asderaordia and other sovereign powers are hereby rendered null and void.
Article XVI: The consort Gabriel and his son are hereby absolved of any personal guilt for the failures and ruthless aggression of Queen Theodora, and will not be tried by an international tribunal nor by any authority in their home nation or its territories.
Part IV: Penalties
Article I: The Tripartite Allies and Associated Powers publicly arraign the present heads of the predominant naval families of Moderal and their Admirals, for a supreme offense against international morality and the sanctity of treaties.
Article II: Should the above mentioned arraigned be indicted and found guilty of crimes befitting execution by the High Contracting Parties of the Tripartite Allies and Associated powers, let their skulls be bleached and given over to the custody of the government of Sadalen.
Article III: A special tribunal will be constituted to try the accused, thereby assuring him the guarantees essential to the right of defense. It will be composed of five judges, one appointed by each of the following Powers: namely, West Thosel Cransconia, Sadalen, Dunwik, Sheen, and the Imperium Divinium.
Article IV: In its decision the tribunal will be guided by the highest motives of international policy, with a view to vindicating the solemn obligations of international undertakings and the validity of international morality. It will be its duty to fix the punishment which it considers should be imposed.
Article V: The East Seas Alliance recognises the right of the Tripartite Allied and Associated Powers to bring before military tribunals persons accused of having committed acts in violation of the laws and customs of war. Such persons shall, if found guilty, be sentenced to punishments laid down by law. This provision will apply notwithstanding any proceedings or prosecution before a tribunal in Duom or in the territory of her allies.
Article VI: The East Seas Alliance shall hand over to the Tripartite Allied and Associated Powers, or to such one of them as shall so request, all persons accused of having committed an act in violation of the laws and customs of war, who are specified either by name or by the rank, office or employment which they held under the East Seas Alliance authorities.
Article VII: Persons guilty of criminal acts against the nationals of one of the Allied and Associated Powers will be brought before the military tribunals of that Power.
Persons guilty of criminal acts against the nationals of more than one of the Allied and Associated Powers will be brought before military tribunals composed of members of the military tribunals of the Powers concerned.
In every case the accused will be entitled to name his own counsel.
Article VIII: The Nations of New Respite, Moderal, and Magdalenum shall, despite their impudence and in light of their fitting capitulation to far dominant powers, will henceforth be absolved of all guilt in regards to the conflict. Duom Asderaordia shall take full blame and responsibility for the present state of the conflict.
Article IX: All drug transportation and production is to be made illegal in the territories of Duom Asderaordia, with exception being given to diamorphine produced in Dunwik or her constituent associated territories and companies.
Article X: A sixty year moratorium on whaling is to be enforced by all nations on the members of the East Seas Alliance. This moratorium is encouraged for all nations, though is only legally required for the treacherous nations of the East Seas Alliance, who have indeed proven their inability to contend with men at arms, and are thus deemed unworthy to attempt to slaughter these great beasts of the sea.
Part V: Economic Reparations
Article I: The nations of Magdalenum and Moderal accept to pay two-fifths of all debts owed by the governments of the Tripartite Alliance at the present signing of this treaty.
Article II: Duom Asderaordia agrees to pay the remaining one-fifth of the debts owed by the governments of the Tripartite Allies at the present signing of this treaty.
Article III: Magdalenum agrees to the immediate payment of £1,373,240 in Divinian Lires, to the government of the Imperium Divinium, as restitution for their treachery in seducing the Tripartite Alliance to attack Divinian shipping, and the subsequent loss of ship and cargo.
Article IV: To ensure appropriate reparations from the defeated, the Allied and Associated powers shall organize an inter-alliance commission, hereby known as the Reparations Commission, for the purpose of overseeing the repayment of these debts. The governments of the defeated shall be given just opportunity to be heard on claims made in regards to these reparation amounts.
Article V: The Commission shall concurrently draw up a schedule of payments prescribing the time and manner for securing and discharging the entire obligation within a period of thirty years from January 1st, 1903. If, however, within the period mentioned, and of the East Seas Alliance fails to discharge her obligations, any balance remaining unpaid may, within the discretion of the Commission, be postponed for settlement in subsequent years, or may be handled otherwise in such manner as the Allied and Associated Governments, acting in accordance with the procedure laid down in this Part of the present Treaty, shall determine.
Article VI: The Reparation Commission shall after January 1st, 1903, from time to time, consider the resources and capacity of the East Seas governments, and, after giving her representatives a just opportunity to be heard, shall have discretion to extend the date, and to modify the form of payment.
Article VII: The governments of the East Seas Alliance recognize and agree to comply fully with the above mentioned commission, and will provide, willingly and openly, any documentation which will aid the commission in ensuring the repayment of debts.
Part VI: Territorial Concessions
Article I: Duom Asderaordia, understanding her position, willingly ceedes all control of the island at 48°57’16.28” S 17°27’40.24” E, to the Associated Cities of Sheen. One square foot of the island shall be recognized as property of the Central Chambers of the DOC, for the construction of a DOC flagpole and noble Faerie Village.
Part VII: Miscellaneous Agreements
Article I: For the Tripartite Allies and East Seas Alliance, the standard thickness of a pan is to be set at 0.25 inches.
Article II: The definition of a pan is to hereby be set and standardized by a council of honest and impartial Dunwikki, selected by whatever methods are deemed suitable by their government. The definition is presented below:
A pan is presently to be defined as any form of flat bottomed cookware or bakeware which is used for the domestic purpose of frying, searing, browning, baking, or heating food on a stovetop or within an oven. A pan must be made of a material intended for the convection or retention of heat, including cast iron, carbon steel, aluminum, or copper. In order for the item to be defined as a pan, said cookware must have sloping sides with the intended use of retention of its contents within the confines of said pan. The average height of the sides of said pan should be roughly one inch from the base, with the angled sides measuring no more than 85 degrees from the base. Article IX: All drug transportation and production is to be made illegal in the territories of Duom Asderaordia, with exception being given to diamorphine produced in Dunwik or her constituent associated territories and companies.
Article X: A sixty year moratorium on whaling is to be enforced by all nations on the members of the East Seas Alliance. This moratorium is encouraged for all nations, though is only legally required for the treacherous nations of the East Seas Alliance, who have indeed proven their inability to contend with men at arms, and are thus deemed unworthy to attempt to slaughter these great beasts of the sea.
Part V: Economic Reparations
Article I: The nations of Magdalenum and Moderal accept to pay two-fifths of all debts owed by the governments of the Tripartite Alliance at the present signing of this treaty.
Article II: Duom Asderaordia agrees to pay the remaining one-fifth of the debts owed by the governments of the Tripartite Allies at the present signing of this treaty.
Article III: Magdalenum agrees to the immediate payment of £1,373,240 in Divinian Lires, to the government of the Imperium Divinium, as restitution for their treachery in seducing the Tripartite Alliance to attack Divinian shipping, and the subsequent loss of ship and cargo.
Article IV: To ensure appropriate reparations from the defeated, the Allied and Associated powers shall organize an inter-alliance commission, hereby known as the Reparations Commission, for the purpose of overseeing the repayment of these debts. The governments of the defeated shall be given just opportunity to be heard on claims made in regards to these reparation amounts.
Article V: The Commission shall concurrently draw up a schedule of payments prescribing the time and manner for securing and discharging the entire obligation within a period of thirty years from January 1st, 1903. If, however, within the period mentioned, and of the East Seas Alliance fails to discharge her obligations, any balance remaining unpaid may, within the discretion of the Commission, be postponed for settlement in subsequent years, or may be handled otherwise in such manner as the Allied and Associated Governments, acting in accordance with the procedure laid down in this Part of the present Treaty, shall determine.
Article VI: The Reparation Commission shall after January 1st, 1903, from time to time, consider the resources and capacity of the East Seas governments, and, after giving her representatives a just opportunity to be heard, shall have discretion to extend the date, and to modify the form of payment.
Article VII: The governments of the East Seas Alliance recognize and agree to comply fully with the above mentioned commission, and will provide, willingly and openly, any documentation which will aid the commission in ensuring the repayment of debts.
Part VI: Territorial Concessions
Article I: Duom Asderaordia, understanding her position, willingly ceedes all control of the island at 48°57’16.28” S 17°27’40.24” E, to the Associated Cities of Sheen. One square foot of the island shall be recognized as property of the Central Chambers of the DOC, for the construction of a DOC flagpole and noble Faerie Village.
Part VII: Miscellaneous Agreements
Article I: For the Tripartite Allies and East Seas Alliance, the standard thickness of a pan is to be set at 0.25 inches.
Article II: The definition of a pan is to hereby be set and standardized by a council of honest and impartial Dunwikki, selected by whatever methods are deemed suitable by their government. The definition is presented below:
A pan is presently to be defined as any form of flat bottomed cookware or bakeware which is used for the domestic purpose of frying, searing, browning, baking, or heating food on a stovetop or within an oven. A pan must be made of a material intended for the convection or retention of heat, including cast iron, carbon steel, aluminum, or copper. In order for the item to be defined as a pan, said cookware must have sloping sides with the intended use of retention of its contents within the confines of said pan. The average height of the sides of said pan should be roughly one inch from the base, with the angled sides measuring no more than 85 degrees from the base. A pan must not be sold with a lid, or shall be considered a pot by the high contracting parties. The minimum diameter of a pan shall also be recognized as no less than 4 inches. Similarly, a pan must have at least one clearly defined handle, which may or may not be made of the same material or a similar material as the base. The standard thickness of the base of said cookware must be set at 0.25 inches at its base, though the sides of the pan may differ in thickness from the base, so long as they are not the intended recipients of direct heat sources. Enamel, glass, or china cookware shall not be considered a pan, but instead a dish for the purposes of this treaty. As defined above, any cookware with sides angled at greater than 85 degrees from the base may thus not be considered a pan, regardless of if it meets the other requirements of the definition. This includes kettles, soup pots, chafing dishes, dutch ovens, casserole dishes, stockpots, and springform “pans”, among others.
Article III: For the above mentioned Article, “domestic purpose” refers to any activity which would be typically performed in the running of a household and does not reflect intended usek,l as a pan must meet the requirements of the above mentioned article to be defined as such on the domestic or commercial use.
Article IV: As a show of good faith, the Princess Margarida of Magdalenum is to be betrothed to Haimfaths Robertsunus, with the date of marriage being decided by the governments of their two nations.
Article V: A Pizza will officially be considered and thus defined as a pie by all high contracting parties of this treaty. The pizza may also be classified as a sandwich, at the leisure of the high contracting parties. The Imperial Divinian pâtissier in service of Empress Catherine von Marcum has presented the following definition:
A pie is to be defined as a baked dish made of a dough casing and filled with savory or sweet ingredients. A pie must also contain multiple servings, lest it be considered a tart. A subdivision of official forms of the pie does not imply the good in question is not a pie. Typical subdivisions include a filled pie, top crust pie, and two crust pie.
Article VI: For the sake of international cooperation, concert pitch is to be defined as A=432Hz in equal temperament, based on the tuning of the Chapel Organ of the Argent Palace, St. Helena.
Article VII: The Tripartite Allies and East Seas Alliance hereby agree to a standardized system of codes used for signaling, frequencies used for communication at sea, and carrier signals, as decided by the Hansa.
