It would start in the war-torn region of Kaskador, where in the dead of night, ships disgorged a cargo of mostly women and children, with a few heavily armed men escorting them. The Lengan people are a distinctive kind, with long, narrow heads, high cheekbones, and slim and lanky in build. Spreading North and East, these strange men would appear in other places. Drusskia, the Sheenish colonies, the W.T.C, and even in some places they would desperately attempt to make their way to the land of Sadalen, or even further. Once far from Dunwikki waters, these ships would bear a strange emblem, of yellow eyes on a white flag - the flag of ancient Leng. What becomes of these people has everything to do with whether the nations that receive them listen to their pleas for mercy... or turn them over to the furious Dunwikki, who usually weren't too far behind.

At dawn, the First Warden leaves the temporary housing built for while Weisshaupt is rebuilt, and notices ships flying weird flags in the distance. It is not long before a smaller vessel makes its way into the Grey Quarter's harbor and ask for permission to land. An Elderly man, with what can only be described as strange deformities comes forth. He asks permission for a portion of his people to stay in the isle of Weisshaupt. Recognising the man as Lengan, the Warden does what he considers the fairest option. He gives the people in the ship food and water, and buildings in the Grey Quarter are designated as places for the Lengans to sleep and reside in, for now. He then sends a message to Dunwiki authorities, asking if he may take them as Warden Recruits. If not, they are allowed to come and recapture them. Of course, he knew what the Dunwiki would do to them, but alas, this was the reality of war, and the Wardens were not in a position to oppose the Dunwiki.

Ships were spotted at Jago City Harbour flying the Lengian flag. At once the Harbour master informed the Governor of the Southern Territories to their presence, who at this moment was swarmed with similar reports from around the territories. The situation was considered thoroughly and it was settled, the only way to deal with the Lengian problem would be to see how much they valued their freedom versus how much the Dunwikki valued punishing them. As such orders were handed out to each and every port in the territories to hold each and every lengian ship in their harbour, count how many people were on each ship and see how much money they had, If the Dunwikki offer was higher per head than what they had, then they'd be returned to Dunwikki hands, otherwise they'd be allowed to work as labourers in Sheenish plantations.
