One evening after a bout of drinking Scrumpy, a Davidian man stumbled into a field and fell asleep amongst a flock. The next morning, he was arrested by the local constabulary for both trespassing on a rich man's land as well as for fornicating with a sheep. Despite the fact that the latter was a false charge, the man was outraged by it. As he was brought before the magistrate's court, he was asked to make a statement about his actions and enter a plea. After having thought over all the things he had put up with, such as false imprisonment and constantly having to work the fields of other men for a pittance, he decided to tear into the court, the country, and the fat bastard that brought him here.
'If I want to marry a sheep, I should be free to marry a sheep! If I want to sleep in a field, I should be free to do so! Your lot have corrupted this world and imposed your perversity upon it, forcing us to live with the man-wrought constraints of your minds! A man is a rational being endowed by his creator with many inalienable rights, chief of which is the right to self-determination. From this we derive the right to freedom of conscious, freedom of religion, freedom of politics, and freedom to choose one's own government. Because of this, every man must be given suffrage and the right to bear arms to ensure that their natural rights are protected. Finally, to ensure that these things can not be taken through subterfuge or duplicitous means, we must bring about an order in which the minds and souls of men are nurtured through education and enlightenment, so that all can take part freely and equally in the greatness of life.'
