Incident at the border

Early in the morning, local raiders came to the border defenses of the Associated cities, leading to a brief and bloody scrap at the border where the new defenses proved their worth with just 100 men defending against 1500 raiders with ease. 7 Sheenish solidiers were injured in the fighting, with estimates for the raiders sitting at at least 500 casualties from the machine gun fire and artillery bombardments, many of which died in the fighting. This has been celebrated as a great show of the value of the works done to the border defenses finished this year, which have certainly saved several lives today.
