Intended voyage for the good ship Fortitude
Captain Horsa Aldrich gazed from the bridge of the ship in despair, after calm sailing a sudden and violent storm had swept in. There was no way out they simply would have to batten down the hatches and pray, but still in his chest Horsa felt a nautical pride his family had been sailing the seas for hundreds of years surely god would not end him in this way. Horsa took out his pipe and lit it once more looking out to the raging seas just outside the bridge.

For what seemed like days the storm raged battering at the ship like a cat with a ball of yarn. Finally after falling unconscious in the storm Horsa awoke to the pleasant sounds of waves lapping at a beach rather than the raging fury of the storm. Quickly gather what crew were with him Horsa escaped the destroyed ship and began organizing an effort to salvage the cargo and search for survivors. Soon after efforts began a group of natives clad in hides carrying spears and bows approached. Horsa order his men to draw weapons and form ranks in response and it seemed violence would come until Deman a young interpreter tentatively began speaking in a strange language, it seemed the natives understood and they began conversing visibly calming and lowering their weapons. Deman soon reported that they had been blown far south to the lands of the San people and that the natives were willing to help look for the missing men. Following gesturing from the natives and Deman confirming Horsa's men followed the San away from the shore to their village

Horsa's men follow the San to their village meeting with the local leadership of the tribe and getting along quite well despite the circumstance they are fed and assisted in finding some of their missing men. As nigh dawned and the strange sounds of this land grew to a fever pitch one stood out "Oh good lord deliver us!" a bird in the night seemed to sing, the sailors felt hope at this sign as even the birds were praying for the lord's protection. Soon after the sailors established a small camp by the beach hoping for a ship searching for them to arrive and bring them home, such a ship did not come in any timely manner and the sailors soon established a small outpost on the beach with the San's help. Eventually a ship by the name of Charity arrived searching for the lost cargo and took Horsa's men back leaving a flag and a small crew to man the encampment.
