Gregg's Bakery, Heroes of the Revolution and Common Man!
It was a quiet Saturday afternoon when a report came back from Acielon to the Sheenish headquarters of Gregg's Bakery International: 'The government is oppressing workers here, we're going to try to smuggle them out.' This was hurriedly forwarded to the parent company, Acme Manufacturing & Subsidiaries, but due to the chaos of the ongoing trial and possible extradition to the Tholes, the report was lost. Without word from their owners, they could not act and thus the operation went ahead before they could say 'no'. The operation was unfortunately a failure, with the test run being caught. The subsequent trial and loss of public opinion abroad was unfortunate, but now the Communist Party had ammunition and something to rally behind. With a 350 Soleil fine, the communists were hurting and now felt they needed to salvage the situation. 'Ackie brutes oppress workers, workers jailed for seeking better working conditions and arrested when trying to flee to the Association!' Criers began to spread the news, handing out copies of the new Daily Star, a party paper which had been set up following their application to the Guild of Journalists. The story was spread to other newspapers, but it would be a while before they knew if it was picked up. The paper blasted Acielonian working conditions, describing them in vivid, if maybe embellished, details. It included such things as 'it has been said that some factories chain workers to stations and lock exits to floors, endangering the lives of workers and making escape impossible in the event of a fire'. For such claims which could not be confirmed, they were careful to not claim them as facts. That said, the facts were quite barbaric. Workers being unable to leave work without possible gaol time, workers being arrested for leaving the country. A good Sheenish company being fined astronomical amounts for helping others. The message was quite clear... Workers of the world, unite!

Across David's many ice cream and Gelato shops stirred at the news of Marshal's latest act. The Tholish immigrants and culturally entwined Davidian confectioners were outraged at the latin overreach against good and honest Tholish dairy, and called upon their communities to protest this injustice. In the coming weeks the previously integrating Tholes as well as many Davidian men took to the streets with creative banners and slogans such as "Latins fuck off", "Down with Latin goat fuckers", and "Eat my cream, Von Marshall". While the future of these honest businesses are uncertain, their displeasure at this attack has been made clear.

The Party Congress
'Comrades, we've got a problem. Comrade Putnam was arrested, charged with bogus crimes, and sent abroad at the behest of a foreign power. Now he languishes in some dreary gaol, never more to see our beautiful cities! The Metro-Libs are corrupt leeches, but the Nat-Libs are cowards who'll sell out our countrymen to warmongerers. Enough is enough, we can't let them run the government anymore... Not without our guiding hand to keep them on the straight and narrow. I say we start bashing them for their weak willed socialism and their kow-towing to the Tholes.' Before he could continue, one of the other communards shot up and began shouting. 'What 'bout our guns! They bloody stole our weapons, they're disarming the workers! I'd firebomb them, but they stole our damn incendiaries too! If we want to go get them, we've got to show up at the police station and let them know... Those finks'll tell the government, so how're we supposed to organise worker actions without our bloody guns? Hang them all!' 'Guns, union, and soil!' A cry went up. Very quickly, it was picked up members of the more militant unions and even some of the Black Shirt guards protecting the meeting were seen joining in, though they were quickly reprimanded as they were supposed to stay silent and neutral during the session. In an attempt to gain control of the situation, Chairman James McMahon got up and began slamming his show on a desk. 'Quiet! Comrades, we can deal with all these issues! Shut up!' Slowly, the chanting stopped and he was able to be heard without needing to burst a blood vessel. 'Violent action is not on the table for now...' Exclamations immediately followed. ' Shut up you blithering blowhards! We can't be seen to be acting out now... Not when we're the third largest party in the Association. Killing anyone in the N.L.S.D.A.P. could spark a political panic and we'd just see them working with the M.L.P. No, we need to be cannier than that. I suggest we begin a new campaign of propaganda, call it Project Fear. We've got serious and rightful grievances with them for the irregular treatment of our comrade and we can exploit that and the gun situation... I would like to suggest that we begin both a propaganda campaign and a legal campaign against them, let's sue the government for their treatment of Comrade Putnam.' Following more debates and issues, it was decided that the party would split their funds three ways. One third for the legal offensive, one third for Project Fear, and another third was allocated to various other projects, such as workers' relief, food parcels, and educational supplies.

Send in the Gladiators! With a deal secured with the M.L.P., it was decided to give a helping hand. Normann Skulij and Mikkel Hitčkok were sent to liaise with Harvey and his cronies, as well as the local sporting venues and theatres. Having informed the M.L.P. of the plan, they began plotting out how to spend 8.045 Þaler on several weeks of boxing, wrestling, and women's volleyball. A modest 1.728 Þaler were set aside for special catering, for very important individuals and organisers (namely themselves), such as three-hundred pounds of A5 beef, the finest salmon roe, shitake & truffle mushrooms, thirty-five flavours and toppings of doughnuts which had been mixed and matched at random for a truly unique eating experience, and a couple butts of the most expensive beers they could find... Not to mention a rather modest couple of lifetime supplies of chicken wings. The events themselves would be fairly well advertised, with several prominent spots in newspapers being bought to tell people about them. The government had informed them that it would be best if they could recuperate some of the costs, so they had cut deals with select bookies to be the only 'official' betting agents for the events. Several restaurants and a couple of breweries were likewise given the opportunity to bid on contracts for the fights, as they would have sole exclusive rights to sell their products there, with only a small cut going to the organisers, of course. Finally, the coup de grace, they also started selling parts of the seating and hoarding to people to advertise. The most prominent spots would go to the M.L.P., but the rest would be pure profit and go to the highest bidder. Once everything was set, all they had to do was inform the government at home, and the gladiators would be sent over post-haste. Any locals wishing to take part would be allowed to, if they managed to pass through some screening fights and paid a small fee for registration and entry. To make sure that there were plenty of takers, a championship prize of 356 Þaler was set for all of the events.

Following various sting operations and journalistic investigation of political figures in Kraundankh, the New Agrarian party launched a political campaign under the umbrella name the "A Proud Kraundankh". The efforts are split between three smaller campaigns focusing on the countryside, the other parties, and the agrarians as a whole.
In the countryside the agrarians' are focusing on their track record of consistently voting in defense of farmer's interests. Playing on this, the party also puts into question how well the MLP could represent them when they voted against the dairy industry, asking how an 'metropolitan' party can be trusted to defend farmer's interests when they conflict with the cities.
Across Kraundankh, the agarians are spearheading their campaign by exposing the curroption inherent in the established parties and independents. These exposes are published across various mediums with an emphasis on radio broadcasting when they were able to get recording of the candidate's misdeeds. Beyond this, the party also focused on hypocrisy shown by candidates by publishing discrepancies in their campaign promises and voting records/criminal or immoral actions.
Finally the NAP presented themselves as the moral, honest, and trustworthy alternative. They focused on their candidate's families and community connections as well as their staunch opposition to crime and disorder. Drawing on the law and order and family values ticket, the party promised to create an 'honest, safe, and moral Kraundankh that our children can be proud of.'

Councilor Phrixos practically skipped down the stairs as he left his meeting with Mr. Harvey and the MLP. Photographers and journalists (who were paid a handsome sum to pick up the story) were already gathered outside ready to nab the scoop on what he hoped would be a political advantage for his new friends.
“Yes yes” his hands rose in a placating gesture as he spoke “I was sent to secure what can very well be a paramount deal for Sheen and Divinium. I am happy to announce that an offer has been made by His Ephemeral Majesty's government for an exclusive contract for Sheen on train production for my nation. After all who makes better trains than our wonderful neighbors? And what better way to ensure the most beautiful and prestigious continent in the world remains so than by coming together. Perhaps on the same standard rail gauge. Divinium knows her friends well, and we count the esteemed Mr. Harvey and the men of the MLP among the best of them!”
He wiped his brow, giving a chance for the journalists to scribble down the details before he continued. “In fact, the honorable Mr. Harvey requested no campaign funding from us, but alms for the needy instead. From the personal estates of His Ephemeral Majesty, we have secured twenty million modii each of wheat flour and an equal weight of cheese to be distributed for the MLP. And finally, as thanks to the Sheenish guild system, so fundamental in the organization of the Divinian cartels, and as a personal testament to Mr.Harvey’s product quality, I am happy to announce that the cutlery for all Imperial and Royal households in Divinium are to be provided by the Cutlers here in Sheen, for so long as Florin sits the throne.”

A crack rings out across the night-time air in Sheen, by the time the authorities get there the assailant is missing but Charlie Parker, a reformist communist politician, lies dead in his chair. Blood oozes out of his gunshot wound like a cask of sanguine fluid, trickling down the bristles of his face and staining the pages of the book in front of him red. After a thorough investigation the authorities find a bullet casing in .303 Sheenish which is hardly much of a clue but at least they know they are looking for a rifle and not a handgun, however, they also later find something far more useful. They find fingerprints on the bullet casing, which they conclude must belong to the killer, and so the real inquest begins.
Eventually with some more digging and investigation it is discovered that the fingerprints match those of one Lewis O'Neely, a member of the communist revolutionary guard, while he fervently denies he committed the crime, he fails to convince judge or jury and is sentenced accordingly. This news obviously does not escape either the reformist or revolutionary branches of the communist party, the reformists believing that Lewis did indeed kill Mr Parker, while rumours begin to spread amongst the revolutionaries that the reformists betrayed Mr Parker themselves and are making them pay for the fall.

Death to the Class Traitors, Long Live the Revolution!
Joseph 'Steel' Ellison, Leo Davison, and the new de facto leader of the Black Brigade, John Lennon, were meeting at one of their safe houses when the news of the trial's end came in. The general disbelief and outright hostility they had faced when they had asked the party leadership for help had told them all they had needed to know about where they now stood with their 'comrades'. The Communist Party of the Association had been subverted, taken over by comfortable middle-class interests only there to ensure that the workers did not organise against them... It was obvious now that their comrade who had been disappeared by the Tholes had been sold out by the party, and now said party had once again betrayed them. The Black Brigade's choices were to disband, serve the capitalist pigs, or break away and prepare to fight. 'If the revolution is to come, then we must be crafty in our actions and measured... We can't allow the C.P.A. to know what we plan for them. For now, get in contact with our cells and tell them we're going underground. Joseph, you'll be the new party's general secretary and help coordinate things in Sheen. We'll need a new financial base and I'm trusting you to get as many of our guns back as you can.' The young Davidian seemed pleased with his appointment and began to wind up to speak when Comrade Lennon spoke again. 'Leo, I'm sending you east. We need you to see to our more isolated members and to swaying members of the army to our cause. When fighting breaks out, we need to know the army will protect the border and will join us when we are victorious.' Hearing this, Ellison bristled a bit while Davison seemed to gleam from behind his spectacles. Neither man said anything direct, but the meeting continued with them jockeying over different responsibilities and trying to compete for the approval. When all was said in done though, they were rather firmly split apart. Ellison in the west, Davison in the east, and Lennon organising a more public facing 'party' to represent them. The majority of their membership would be officially disbanding, with only a few being brought into the new party. The rest would organise in covert cells and begin secreting away supplies and funds. A few had been given special orders, lists of class traitors and capitalists... They were not to go after them right away, but sufficed to say, they were to keep their ears close to the ground in case an opportunity might arise. Each cell would be given unique orders and objectives and allowed to pursue them independently. Should they succeed, they would be hailed as heroes. Should they fail and be caught, they were to die as martyrs to the revolution. To ensure safety, there would be no true connection between the cells and new All-Cities Communist Party. No documents would be kept, no funding would be given that could be traced, and Lennon would be uninvolved in their operations. It would be up to Davison and Ellison to keep the cells running and funded... By any means necessary.
