Þai Cyningar af Kumarkatch / Q'ij Ixahau Qʼumarkaj (The Sun-Queendom of Kumarkatch) is the capital state of the Tyrannist Commonwealth as it shares its capital, Xelaj, with the Commonwealth capital due to the current Tyrant (Rybakar Sumarmarstris) being the Sun-Queen of Kumarkatch (For more backstory on Rybakar see Þai Alweald af Nou Amethwhal under the thread called The Caudian States under Tholish Sovereignty). Kumarkatch itself is a former colony of the Theocracy of New Respite that gained independence following the New Respite Civil War and the evacuation of the Holy Council to Kumarkatch, since then it was where the original 4 leaders of the former Caudian sphere were gathered to form the Tyrannist Council and as such was granted the priviledge of holding the first Commonwealth Capital in Xelaj.
Kumarkatch is a divided state, due to the massive influx of Caudian immigrants and refugees over the short term it had been in contact with them, this has lead to some degree of cultural strife but the two cultures have gotten on surprisingly well together and cultural mixing of traditions has been notable and rapid as well. Despite this, intermixing through marriage has been all but unheard of in Kumarkatch due to rifts between marriage traditions and rituals, meaning that the 2 ethnicities have remained largely separate and distinct.
The ruling government of Kumarkatch is a modernised and centralised form of feudalism, with the Sun-Queen at the top and criminals at the bottom, although previously it was slaves who filled that role. The nobles who answer directly to the Sun-Queen have a significant degree of autonomy and power and are all called on to convene in Xelaj as a Royal Diet to perform the day to day running of the nation. This Royal Diet is the main government of Kumarkatch, with the Sun-Queen divesting a large portion of her legislative power to it and requiring its permissions on most internal issues, although the Sun-Queen is less restricted in using her executive and judicial power, but most use those in accordance with the laws written by the Royal Diet, although the Royal Diet is forbidden from writing any law that limits her ability to use her religious authority and powers.
