Pataria is a land sat perfectly between the endless Parrati Desert to the west and immediate south, the vast Ryn forestlands of the north, the Jungles of Tycannis far to the south, and the Syris Sea to the east. It is an incredibly fertile and idyllic land with rolling hills, vast plains, picturesque mountain ranges, and a history written in blood and scarred by war. Local warlords hold great sway over large swaths of land and the Senate of Sintene allows and even encourages them so long they swear loyalty to the great city on the island. To the Senate it matters not what happens outside the walls of the fortified capital so long as they receive their tithes and taxes. Slaves and prisoners sow the fields and work the mines while the forces of the corrupt expand outwards like a plague in search of ever more. More wealth to hoard, more land to conquer and exploit, more power to defeat their rivals, and more slaves to work to death. It is a militant land where the rule of the strong is the only true law and where wars are waged constantly and brothers are forced to kill one another for another man's petty war.
Population: ~2,266,000
Humans: ~2,000,000
Humans are the largest population in Sintene by far as the fertile lands the nation is situated on are their ancestral homeland and its bountiful harvests and plentiful resources have allowed the population to grow and develop explosively over the centuries. Sintanian humans are on average taller, better built, and more militant than many of their cousins because of their violent origins, militant culture, and the plethora of high calorie and protein rich foods that can be found in their homeland. They are populous enough to outnumber all other natives of the country combined and hold the majority of positions in the nobility and positions in the government or army.

Lunari/Vulfen/Luppicanum: ~250,000
The Lunari are a species of humanoids with wolf features native to the cold lands of the Ryn that separates the lands south of it from the icy hellscape that is beyond the trees and mountains. The Lunari are a tribal people and many had migrated south to the lands of Pataria. When they had first settled they were often the aggressor as they sought to carve out a place for themselves in the fertile lands until the humans organized into disciplined armies and crushed the Lunari settlers decisively in the Battle of Redmont when the humans torched the mountain which was their stronghold and slaughtered all those who fled to the last before marching to their villages and subjugated them. The Lunari are strong and hearty people and they believe in personal honor and loyalty above all else and care little for the life or death of those outside their own tribal alliances and often will sell their captives to Sintanian traders. Since the expansion of Sintanian influence many tribes have willingly joined the nation and have become steadfast allies of the north western warlords.

Davii/Halbmenner/Hemianum: ~10,000
The Davii are a race of stout and sturdy humanoids that come from the other side of the Parrati Desert. The Davii are strong despite their size and were the ones who first taught the fledgling Sintanians how to process iron and create them into tools and weapons. The Davii that the Sintanians deal with refer to themselves as the (gold or amethyst) ‘’. They trace their origins to a great conflict they had with their kin on the other side of the dunes when a charlatan rose up and led their brainwashed kin across the sea. 1/20 (~500) are slaves
Others/Exotii: 6,000
Sintene has a long history of slavery, trade, and exploration which all has culminated into the population known as the Exotii. The Exotii are mostly either slaves or the descendents of slaves that had been purchased or captured over the centuries that are often used as status symbols by the wealthy of the Senate or high ranking nobility although in very rare cases Exotii are brought back to Sintene as freemen instead of slaves or are released from their servitude by their master due to special circumstances although they do not receive citizenship. Exotii are generally seen as anomalous entities and the superstitious people of Sintene often have very strange ideas about what an Exotii is and mystify them in their minds which only serves to raise their value as status symbols for the wealthy. Some are seen as good luck charms and are taken everywhere their master goes, others as excellent champions for the arenas, and a few are kept like pets in the case of the not quite sentient variety but the vast majority are trained as entertainers, house servants, or translators.
