The Barca family and the Undersigned (henceforth referred to as the signee) agree to the following terms.
1. The Barca family provides a military class naval vessels capable of performing its designed role.
a) A military class vessel refers to a vessel that is designed for operation during times of conflict.
b) The vessel will have a full compliment of crew and munitions and other ordinance and equipment on arrival to the signees given destination.
2. The naval vessels will fly the signees equivalent of the Moderelian Naval Ensign, or the signees equivalent of the Moderelian Civil Ensign.
3. The naval vessels will be under the command of the signee for a period of two (2) years or until the conflict in Lauria meets a formal end, whichever is sooner.
a) The vessels under the command of the signee will have a maximum of three (3) foreign officers on board the vessel at any one time.
b) The aforementioned officers will have the authority to give commands to the commanding officer of the vessel who will follow the commands to the best of their ability.
c) In addition to the Moderelian crew the signee may provide extra service men to learn about operations of the vessel. The number of additional servicemen must maintain a ratio of 3:1 Moderelian crewmen to the signees crewmen or less.
4. In return for the active service of these vessels the signee agrees to pay eighty percent (80%) of the cost of the vessel up front, and pay for the cost of running and maintaining the vessel during the period of hire (defined in point 3)
a) The cost of running includes but is not limited to the munitions, the fuel, and crews wages.
b) the payment of the cost of running shall be provided per mensis by the Moderelian calendar.
5. Should payment be reneged on the signee will provide an additional fee of seventy five percent (75%) of the cost of the vessel and ordinance, additionally, the vessel will be removed from the signees service and returned to the Barca family
a) should payment be reneged, the cost of maintenance and running will revert to the Barca family on the start of the next month by the Moderelian calendar.
6. Should the vessels be damaged during the period of hire the signee will provide the cost of repairing those damages and replacing any lost equipment or resources.
a) If a crewmember is lost payment of twenty (20) years of wages will be provided to the crewmembers family by the signee.
7. Should the vessels be ordered to remain in a Moderelian port the signee will only be required to pay fifty percent (50%) of the maintenance fee
a) the payment will be provided to the Barca family per Mensis by the Moderelian calendar.
8. Should the vessels be ordered to remain in a Moderelian port the signee will have no observers on board the vessel
a) the signee will be provided room and board for one (1) observer to ensure the ships remain in port.
9. Should the vessels be ordered to remain in a Moderelian port they will have no ensign or flag flown for the duration of the hiring period.
