Over the next 5 months Antolmovia would experience a very fast demobilization. They were sending home 160,000 troops per month and were left with around 450,000 infantry forces and 33,000 cavalry. The happy faces of the winning side coming home to their open arms of their wives and family. But the losing side coming back to what was once their home and is now an ash filled crater gave a haunting reminder of what civil war will do.
