"For the sake of transparency and openness, as well as to provide context as to recent goings-on within the Dunwikki organization, what has recently transpired must come to light. Robert Wesker, Minister of Science (which encompasses the myriad duties of setting standards, allocating funds to various start-ups, and overseeing education) has died at the age of 23.
The nature of his death was violent. He was murdered in a botched kidnapping and coup attempt, orchestrated by Percival Clarke, former Dunwikki Minister of Foreign Affairs under Nelson, and his homosexual lover Jeremy Jones, former Dunwikki Minister of Foreign affairs.
Those responsible have been either apprehended, in the case of Clarke, or killed, in the case of Jones. Former top general Conan Redd and former Dunwikki Minister of Foreign Affairs Jonathan Price were further implicated in the plot, however, did not possess full awareness of the action. They have been suitably punished for their misdeeds.
Percival Clarke was executed this afternoon at 18:56 local time after the entirety of his scheme was uncovered.
Wesker will be remembered as a gentle, intelligent, and dutiful man who, even in the final moments of his life, did what was best for his country and people."
