Shires Caerleon
Caerleon is heart of Loegria commanded by king Gawain from the castle Rhionydd. It is entirely within the the highlands of the old kingdom and from its many river valleys commands impressive agricultural productivity. While power is strongly concentrated in the crown here, the landscape is dotted with the castles, estates, and homes of the rich lesser and middiling nobility of Caerleon.
Lothia Dominated by the primary trading port of Lothium, Lothia is a bustling mercantile shire connected to Caerleon as a part of the old kingdom highlands through Sadok's Corridor. Lothia is notable in the realm for being the only shire with only middling noble power, with most governance and power in the state belonging to the various cities and guilds. Organization of the Shire's Fyrd is handled by the Grand-Captain of Lothium who is appointed by the city's guild council.
Cambria Cambria, the jewel to rival even Caerleon stands at the east coast of Loegria. Disconnected from the Old Kingdom highland, Cambria nevertheless has its own highlands protecting it from the sunken kingdom. Cambria was once a mighty petty kingdom before being subjugated by the kings of Caerleon. As such, Cambria is in a sense of a kingdom in it of itself with its grand port and capital of Ibar serving as the seats of the ruling earl Lancelot who is in command of the Earldom's Fyrd.
Atreratia
Between Caerleon and Cambria is the Shire of Atreratia. It is has grown quite wealthy serving as the linkage point of the two greater realms, and its nature as a part of the sunken kingdom has attracted great intrest in investigating and plundering its many secrets and ruins. Power is split between the rival Earl Caradoc backed by the many knights and nobles of the shire and the the magician Merlin backed by the various mage academies/circles and the rising middling class.
Rheged The largest and yet poorest of the Shires, Rheged sits as the mostly tamed frontier of the south east. A part of the Sunken kingdom, Rheged has a dangerous assortment of ruins, monsters, and far more darkling spirits than its more tame brother to the north. Yet, this danger comes with the promise of treasure and knowledge prompting many adventurous Hrafen to journey to the land, bringing their Feoh allow to settle the region. The province's Fyrd is organized by the Earl Brunor.
