With Princess Justine d'Vaugeouis becoming 9 years old, the question of her Guardianship has become relevant. Through unusual circumstances and in the light of recent events the nobles of the Kingdom and other influential elements are putting pressure on the royal household, to assign a Guardian to the Princess so that she may receive education in the art of governance and politiccs with proper attention as the King has been busy handling both the positions of Head of State and Head of Government.
With many prestigious names being put forward, there are a plenty of potential guardians. Still four individuals have slowly crystalised as realistic and proper choices.
Milan Bisaillon, an influential noble at court and well known critic of the Parliament and the academic elites. With his help, the Princess could possibly close the rift that has formed between the old nobility, farmers and the nouveau riche in their struggle for power, uniting landowners into one united front again.
Charles-Antoine Legault, a man who has risen from a merchant family to the position of Seneschal of the Royal Court and the one who's been in charge of the Princesses education till now. His continued whispers would maintain the current course of education and set the Princess on a path dominated by faith, nation and economic liberty.
Arnoul d'Vaugeois, brother of the King and Duc of Arlenne. Known for being fairly involved and succesful in the economic affairs of the Kingdom, he holds no love for the snake-pit that is the capital. Far more practical his wisdom would bring the Princess into academic circles and surround her with supporters who have risen out of merit, not titles or politics.
Roland Haygle, former Chief of Logistics in the Army and elected mayor of his district for 3 consecutive terms is a well-known and capable administrator. A man dedicacted to his nation and to civic ideals, he would guide the Princess to be a far more capable administrator and more direct in her rule than her father ever was.
Of course there is also the option of the King retaining Guardianship of his daughter and perhaps finally playing a bigger role in her education. This choice could prove to be unpopular though and agitate certain elements in the nation.
