Territorial Claims

With potential enemies for territory surging to the North, the immediate decision was made by Minister Of The Interior Maxwell Haig, and Minister Of War Trevor Lucas to begin the immediate annexation of the unclaimed lands to their immediate North. This would provide them with no potential area for any land-based rivals to strike at them, but would at a stroke nearly double the size of the territory they had to administer. Many of the Corporations within the Confederacy, however, were more than willing to ignore the costs of integration, railroad construction, suppression of the locals, and the funding of good, Technocrat schools, banks, hospitals, and roads, for their greedy eyes saw little but profit in the Equator, and the straits that they would control. In time, both the underclass and the overclass would distribute themselves across the entire island, bringing order, technology, and progress towards this fertile land.



The conquest had been done slowly in recent years, inch by inch subverting or otherwise conquering the scattered, disorganized peoples that lived in the area. While not officially their territory yet, the Technocrats hold strong claims over this territory, and intervention in this area will cause serious tension.
