Vifin Circle (Conspirators)The Vifin Circle are a group of malcontent nobles, administrators and military men that formed with the goal to depose Renaud d'Vaugeois and ensure the security of Acielon herself. They are sworn to Princess Justine d'Vaugeois who while reluctant chose love of her nation over love for her family.
Roland Haygle:
A retired military man and former mayor. One of the key figures in the Vifin Circle, he's the current Guardian of Prinxess Justine. He leans towards a strong civic administration and is vying to become Head of Government.
Aiden Lavalle:
An elderly dux, he is the leader of the moderate Traditionalists of Nobility, who while not opposed to meritocracy wish to restore the strong position of nobility. He leans towards a more decentralised government with nobility having a strong voice. He is not vying for a high position in government.
Milan Bisaillon:
A young Comte and leader of the old Traditionalists of Nobility. His faction wants to turn over the influence of cities and make landowners the dominant force in the nation. He leans towards a very decentralised government and dissolving Parliament. He is not vying for a high position in government.
Frederick Blendeman:
The Leader of the Acielonian Military, Frederick Blendeman was a senior of Haygle at Officers Academy and both served as fellow Chiefs of Staff before Blendeman became head of the military. After the debacles of the AIA and the Kings regular dismissal of strategic concerns he grew disillusioned with politicians. When he met his old friend Haygle again, and with him the Princess, he found that the Princess was far more approachable than the King and showed interest in the concerns of the military. Now Blendeman vyes for Leadership of the Nation, so that a pragmatic non-political mind will be the firm hand that leads to the glorious future.
Vincent de Wever:
A colonel of the Army, he is a strong proponent of building up a Acielonian Navy. As there are currently no naval forces he is aligned with the army, but hopes that the new administration will see the value in investing in a maritime force.
Jorik Debruyne:
The commander of East District, he's in charge of the largest district by landmass. He joined the other members of the état-major mostly out of solidarity and belief that the military should guide the nations future.
Hubert Masson:
The commander of North District, he has been second to Blendeman for most of his career, always follwing his trail. He's considered a rival of Blendeman but considers loyalty to the princess more important than such trivialities.
Maverick Ham:
The Chief of Transport, he became member of the Vifin circle out of personal ambition. Most of the other conspirators consider him to be the most probably liability and willing to sell them out if it meant he would gain from it.
Kurt Rudersdorf:
A resolute and clever man, Rudersdorf always keeps discipline. Being the Chief of Operations and a very critical man his input is highly valued. He joined the circle as a member of the military and sees his duty to his fellow soldiers.
Hans Vaerenbergh:
An academic man, he is a rationalist through and through. Loyal to his country, he strongly beliefs in merit inside the military and will firmly support those who he deems valuable. And the Chief of Service deemed the King as detrimental, yes even harmful to the military and nation.
Nicholas Verenysse:
The Chief of Communications is a happy man. The outragous man often clashed with Rudersdorf and Vaerenbergh who are of the belief that he misbehaves and shames the military. Yet no one denies that the man is capable and one of the few who understands the Communications Corps to it's core.
Mats Van Campfort:
The Chief of Maneuver is a man who likes things neat and orderly. Though some call him prideful, his pride isn't unjustified. He is a master of paperwork and of budget, it's almost a wonder he ended up in Maneuvers. He joined out of nationalism and ambition to use his talent for administration for the nation in it's entirety.
Junius Sylva:
The Minister of Foreign Affairs had considered jumping out of the window, several times in his career. Having to handle foreign relations under an isolotianist king, he became grey early. The only reason he is with the plot is that he knew that the King just hadn't found a cronie to replace him yet.
Thibaud D'Haene:
The odd one out of the bunch, D'Haene is an Investor and Entrepeneur. He has ambitions for the nation, that see larger industrialisation and more trade as important for the nations economic growth. He plans to become a major power broker for the government and middle-man between it and his fellow manufacturers. And if he gets a government contract or two in addition, he won't object.
Basil Cornelis:
The Minister of Security is an almost paranoid man. He thought the AIA was a good, but flawed idea. One intelligence groupe is not enough, for the Minister wants to know every move someone makes in the nation. He joined the Circle simply, because the only one who would ever listen to him, the Minister of Education joined.
Norbert Delacroix:
An almost ancient man, Delacroix is still as social as ever. Ask about any ball or major social event. Delacroix has been there. Some say the 70 year old man should retire already, but Norbert feels as energetic as ever. Despite that the King still wanted to remove him, yes even voiced suspicions that he was a republican. He was one of the few who noticed the Princesses constant meetings and therefore Haygles, and sees in her a fellow socialite. So he joined the complot, for clearly these people needed his guiding voice.
Sebastien Lievens:
A Secretary of State of the Interior and former Gendarm, he made it his life-goal to end corruption in the police force. When they fired him, he took the path of government and no bullets or threats could stop him. He only noticed the Vifin plot when it was already in full action, and in a split-second decision decided that this was his opportunity. And like that he send an order to stand down and not interfere towards the police. Of course with the Ministers signature.
