Colin was moving forward in closed ranks with his comrades. For days they had protested after their leaders had called for it. The oppressive factory owners had done nothing to stop them, afraid as they were those powdered asses. Now they had decided to take even more initiative and to march on the city proper. Their leaders had promised that their fellow commoners in police and military wouldn't stop them, once they saw their determination. Instead they would join them in forcing the bourgeousie and the nobility to respect them and to see that they were not to be pushed around. For they were the ones who actually ensured the nation ran. Yes even the Roi would have to hear them once they reached the palace and pleaded their cause. Now they were only a mile or less away from the green ring, on one of the main streets leading towards the city centre, a line of parks that divided them from the ones that lived, no leeched of, of their hard work. Some of his brothers hesitaded when they saw that the police had formed a barricade but they were pushed forward by their brothers behind them. They had made half the way when a shot rang out and one of them dropped to the ground, wounded. Colin shot towards the police with his head but the officers hadn't moved and not one had a gun in his hand. Finally a shout came from the flanks: "They're in the alleys it's le mafia, flee!" Panic broke out, Colin made a split-second decision and started sprinting forward, towards the police which still hadn't moved several of his comrades following. He was waving and shouting for them to do something, to protect them as this was what they're supposed to do. Yet still not one had moved. He was finally in an arms length of a police officers when he felt a force hit his stretched out arm. One of the officers had struck him with a baton, and others followed as Colin fell towards the ground, desperately trying to shield himself. Slowly loosing his consciousness.
On the 6th September the year 1913, 225 protesters died attempting to reaching the green ring moving down the rue d'Odette la belle. Before they could do so they were set upon by the mob and grunts hired by factory owners. The policiers followed their orders to protect the green ring from being breached. Not one officer broke rank as the protesters were massacred. The King publically announced a minute of sorrow for the protesters and that he would pray for their souls. Parliament condomned the massacre. No further actions were taken and investigations were closed after a day on royal orders.
