The Federal Council and Archduke have laid out their plans for a massive overhaul of all Borealan equipment and infrastructure, given that their current status from a logistical standpoint was barely sufficient, and with the onset of Rodinian refugees and a sudden uptick in Bolshevik movements along the frontier, it cannot suffice for a new, much more homogenous Borealis.
The Archduchess and Secretary jointly signed their new objectives, released to the public via the Association of Borealan Journalists
As follows, the Archduchy of Borealis seeks to:
- To standardize the R-1 rifle into Borealan service, across all branches
- Standardize calibers of ammunition in all armaments, and acquiring new arms accordingly
- Design, test, and begin issue of new uniforms to all units in the Army and Marines
- Assess training procedures given the efforts of the Royal Cape Providence Police and Clark’s Scouts
- Begin the creation of domestic armored units
- Begin trials for domestically manufactured aircraft in the Borealan Air Force
- Enlarge the Navy, including the plans for the BMV Cape Providence and Fort Sitka
- Incorporation of Clark’s Scouts into an official military command
- Eliminate the old reservist system and implement a Territorial Security Force
- Expand all active duty units by a minimum of 15%
All of the listed objectives have been passed through the chambers of legislation, and shall answer to the legislation’s National Defense Committee, alongside Secretary of the Security Forces Volkov. They seek to begin seeing results as soon as reasonably possible.
