On the 20th Gulflauf, everyone in the Association awaited the results of the Election, including one Dyson Yerkes, who stood confident that the predictions from Pollsters was far from the truth, however as seat by seat was announced for the NLSDAP, his heart sank, and then the unthinkable happened.
"Well gentlemen, it appears this has not been our election, but at least we have our core safe seats, and more importantly the Alliance Court will still be under us and the Mayors, which we can at least be greatful for. To the MLP!"
Then a young woman came in "Sir, Mr von Marshall just called declaring that he will make a speech on the radio about how he will form a government, also they have won more seats than the MLP in the Court, and some of the protestors are bringing up irregularities in your pension funds?"
Yerkes, anguished, responded "Thank you Martha, could you please fetch some coffee for the calm protesters downstairs? Thank you."
With the receptionist out of the room, Yerkes opened the window of his 14th floor office, and walked out plummiting to his death.

The news of the election results were quick to arrive at Magdalenum, and so were the news of Dyson Yerkes' tragic demise. The Synod decreed a three-day-long period of national mourning to honor the man who had done so much for the isles, for weeks following, flowers and lit candles could be seen at the base of the statue in the Central Station in Magalhães, where the late former First Councillor was represented giving a firm handshake to the late King Afonso IV, gilded mustache shining against the sunlight. An Honor Guard of Knights of the Order of Christ was sent to Sheen to accompany the funerary proceedings.

Upon receiving news of the death of his beloved husband, the Hauhkuno Haimfaðs packed his bags and left in the middle of the night. Due to the suddenness of his departure and his refusal to talk, no one knew where he had gone for several days afterwards. He was able to board a ship to Sheen and arrived there two weeks later, after which point he went to the funeral before buying a small cottage in the countryside and retiring from public life.
Before bolting himself away, he made sure to write to his wives and invited them to join him. Only the one from Magdalenum followed. After sorting out regular grocery deliveries and finding his new home's soil was perfect for farming, he also decided to start a vegetable garden to pass the time.
