Seeing the hightening tensions, the Associated cities decided to pour in funding to upgrading the medieval national wall to a completely modern series of fortifications with artillery positions, automatic gun nests, fortresses and bunkers running the full length of the land border. Secondly a large set of trench lines and ditches were set up to further strengthen the defenses that exist. The Defenses stretch for Sheen's entire 42 mile land border.
