Grand Chairman Nelson has reached the end of his term, and the most elite of Dunwik have convened once more to exchange bribes, threats, business deals, and leverage old favors over one another. The common rabble of Dunwik have no involvement in this beautiful, streamlined system. Only the hundred wealthiest - and ergo most invested - in Dunwik could cast a vote.
CANDIDATES
Howard Philips Nelson is the incumbent Grand Chairman, a shipping magnate and stern, emotionless man fond of indirectly managing things. Aside from opening Dunwik to the world, he is notable for somewhat botching the Bromine Crisis, a reasonable defense against the Lengans during what has colloquially been known as the "Okay War", curbstomping the Ilhicaco and then the Asterordians alongside a massive coalition of nations, and managing Dunwik's entry into the multinational trading arrangement called the Hansa. He is somewhat popular among the elites, having given windfall profits to drug manufacturers, but he has caused the ruin of some agricultural magnates.
POLICY - KING OF THE SEA
Nelson prefers to stay somewhat on the periphery, appearing only when there is maximum profit to be made. However, he still has a touch of the old Dunwikki isolationism within him, and oftentimes Dunwik hasn't contributed as much - and therefore hasn't gained as much - as it could. Focusing more on his own profits, he seeks exceptionally strong naval arms and a robust shipping system for Dunwik.

Arthur's administration will dump most of the limited money available to Dunwik on technological marvels, seeking to revolutionize as many fields as possible, circulate winning theories, and monopolize technological exchange abroad, zeroing in on industry and education as the means to enact this policy. However, he is still a Dunwikki, and drugs are an art to him too.
Maxwell House is a planner, a schemer, and the owner of many casinos, gambling dens, and unofficial head of quite a few mafia outfits across Dunwik. Rarely seen and rarely heard from, he operates in secrecy, and very few know what he looks like, sounds like, acts like. He uses this mystery as shield and sword both, keeping his enemies off-guard as his plans slowly work their way to fruition.

House always waits, always watches, keeping meticulous tabs on everyone and everything. Even if one gamble fails, another would certainly pay off. Investing the bare minimum and extracting the absolute maximum, he plays the characters of others against them, and walks away with a profit.
Oscar Bayer, colloquially the Magnate Of Sin, is the worst of Dunwik personified. Rapacious, abusive of everything and everyone he encounters, thieving, and a hedonistic maniac, only a ruthless cunning and incredible brutality kept him alive, long enough to crawl from the bottom of Dunwik's society all the way to the top. A mob boss to command all other mob bosses, he rules the seedy criminal underworld with an iron fist, and commands more men under arms than any save the Minister of War.

Each candidate is given a popularity score, and a dice is rolled after all interference. If this lands in the range of a certain candidate, they receive one point. The first candidate to receive five points will take command over all of Dunwik.
