Dyson Yerkes prepared himself for another day in the chambers of the Common Council, however today was not any ordinary day in the chambers, as today he was not just First Councillor, but also a local businessman trying to get planning permission for a new railway straight through the centre of the Quadrant, a traditionally poor community with no quick route to the Northern Bankside. He also had the hopes of integrating this new railway with the venerable Metropolitan and Old City Railway, with whom he had good relations with the owner of. He hoped in the future that he could buy out the MOCR however that would have to wait.
