The First incident
Men from the Red Guards unit have been chasing a handful “Political Dissidents” after the orders for a crack down against internal enemies have been launched by the Kremlin. It seems that 3,000 men have been sent to search for the dissidents on the outskirts of our western territory near the Boarder with the Magdalenum. After a interrogation and torture of the few captured dissidents, a warning was sent to the soldiers that the remaining escapees are armed and is supplying weapons to the resistance. With this information the men hurry and run off into the forest. Expecting an armed Remnant of the white army the men stock up on gear and headed deeper towards the Boarder as they pass it and enter foreign territory without noticing it.

December 11th, 1908
A group of armed men was seen crossing over into Rodina's Eastern border, into the forest near Rodingrad. Soon after, the border Regiment was dispatched to intercept the men at the location where they had made camp. When questioned for details, the men admitted to be fleeing into Imperial territory, and claimed to have relatives in Imperium-controlled Rodina. They were ordered to disarm, and escorted into the base in Rodingrad, to be carted out to the Provincial Capital of Omsk to begin the citizen admittance process. Meanwhile, another group of armed men was spotted. They were wearing what seemed to be uniforms, so it was believed that these were either mercenaries, or members of a foreign organized military. Immediately the remainder of the regiment was dispatched to assume position, with a scout sent forth to attempt to communicate with these men.
"Who goes there?" He said, first in Magdalese, then in Rodinan. "You are encroaching on sovereign Magdali territory. You will either disarm or come back from whence you came."

“сдаваться!!!” (Surrender!!!) a man shouted. After a moment of silence a squad was sent out by the Commissar to arrest and apprehend the men who was shouting at them. Still convinced that it was the remnants of the white army they were speaking to as they could not understand what was said. It was entirely possible that they were using a foreign language to mask themselves and it was not entirely uncommon for white army soldiers to do such to run away into the farlands or to bordering nations.
The squad continued walking forward whilst screaming demands that they surrender.

After the Scout failed to return, the soldiers began preparing a defense. They did their best to dig in with what little time they had, and set up a defensive line to meet the intruding force. Still relatively unaware of who these men were, and fearing more where on the way, the on-site commander requested that the Artillery Regiment be called into the scene. At the same time, a Sergeant picked up a megaphone and tried to reach out to the men one final time:
"This is your last warning, turn back now or you will be apprehended! We will use lethal force if we must. You have exactly one minute to surrender or turn back before we open fire."
One minute went by.
"Огонь!" (Fire!)

After hearing the warning. The commissar decided to split the units up and spread to encircle the source of the sound. The orders were to stay quiet and surround the White Army. As the orders were about to be given Artillery fire could be heard, knowing the sound the Soldiers run and immediately carry out the plan after the commissar screamed the orders after the fire. The unit was spread into three with each group having a thousand men, orders were to attack the white army from left right and centre at close range. As the units close up to now be about a distance of 90-100meters. Flares were shot into the sky to reveal the position of the hostiles and to signal the attack.

Unfortunately, the Magdali force was overwhelmed and captured. It would seem the old Rodinan Soviets were finally getting out of their civil war. Unfortunately, this meant that Rodina would have to contend with Neighbors. Orders to reinforce border patrols were put in place, and plans to fortify the border with strongholds were made. A very strongly worded letter was sent, in the hopes that it would reach their Government:
From: Provincial Viceroy, Grigori Popov To: The leadership of the Soviet Republics
Remnants,
There is no mincing words. your soldiers encroached on Sovereign Magdali soil, and captured soldiers in service of the Royal armed forces. We demand an immediate return of the soldiers into our borders, and reparations for any injuries they might have sustained during the battle. You shall meet these demands in a period of a month's time. If you fail to comply, I am instructed to call upon Her Majesty's Navy to embargo your ports until you comply to our demands. We have hope that this was an isolated incident that will not repeat itself, but we are extremely displeased at this act of blatant aggression.
Sincerely,
Grigori Popov

Grigori Popov The Soviet government has sent a letter to the Magdalenum office writing that "You are in no position to demand us anything. You turn in all of your anti revolutionary criminals and we will return your soldiers... Nothing else. If this requirement is not met then your men are as good as ours."
