In accordance with the 'Law of Succession of 1799', declared law by King Altair I, His Imperial Majesty has forfeited his current duties. The Emperor, who has been bed ridden these past weeks, has decided to take leave and retreat to his riverside estate along the Iacon River, with his physicians and doctors, in hopes that the more peaceful scenery will ease his ills.
Therefore, in correspondence with Article III of the Law of Succession, the Emperor has named his only true born son, His Highness Prince Octavius, as Prince Regent of the Realm. The Prince shall serve in this position with full authority granted to Him to act as the sole ruler of the Realm until the time comes that the Emperor is ready to return to Court and reassume his duties. Until that time, the Prince Regent will perform the duties of Emperor to the best of his ability. The Prince has undergone all procedures proper for this August title. The Prince has sworn that he will remain wholly loyal to his Emperor and in the case of tragedy, will not ascend to the august position of Emperor, until His Majesties death.
+AUTHORIZED BY IMPERIAL DECREE+ +GOD BLESS THE REALM AND THE PRINCE REGENT+
