RODINANS! EDUCATION IS A RIGHT!
The message echoed through every radio station, and every local newspaper. The Imperium had finally begun pulling its full weight into reconstructing the war-torn Province. Thousands of schools were built, Universities founded, and libraries restocked. Schools taught young children (and willing adults) basic literacy in both the native Rodinan tongue and Magdalese, the Histories of the both nations, and basic life skills. Trade schools to improve the quality of the Rodinan workforce also begun to appear, as the end goal of the Government became obvious. Educate, Industrialize, Develop.

Privy to the Government's new developments, Magdali businessmen were quick to seize this new opportunity. A man of the lower nobility, by the name of José de Mello, brought together his family to start a new Business. CUF, the Industrial Union Company. CUF factories began propping up all over Rodina, producing mostly chemicals, but with a few other products also in the production lines. Soaps, Cleaning products, Hygiene items. |

A Simple Offer Through a shell company, the Raikhsleidandskapiz made its gamble. José de Mello was approached by some men representing the company and by extension the government, they came with an offer that would hopefully see both parties benefit immensely. The Raikh would provide machined parts, finished goods, and other materials needed to set-up industry, in exchange the Magdali would pay for the goods in bullion or arms, whichever was easiest. Once the demand for such things diminished, the Magdali were to agree to buy their imported raw materials from the Raikh going forward, for a period of no less than twenty years. |

José de Mello was unsure about the proposition at first. The Sadaler? In Rodina? Surely the Crown must know about his already. Then he received a letter from the RAFIA.
Dear Mister Mello,
We have learned of a Sadaler presence in Rodina. While you are free to make any dealings with them as you see fit, we'd advise, as usual, caution when dealing with them. Still, if you are to make a deal with them, make sure to keep us posted. And if you smell blood on the water, you know who to call.

And so it was. José made sure to inform the RAFIA of his decision. On the next day, he sent one of his aides to the little Detective's office in Downtown. He would sign this deal. The RAFIA, for their part, set up a front in Downtown, in a little run down bar called "The Blushing Bride".

Having been informed of Magdali plans for Rodina, the Sheenish guilds swooped in for a potentially profitable opportunity while it lasted. Most set up factories for producing parts for Sheenish industries at a much lower cost than back at home, They also invested money and requested the rights to building a private dockyard for the export of these items on much larger vessels than were usually used for cargo. They formed a holding company for all these new factories, docks and industrial rail lines, Sheenish Industries in Rodina Ltd. (SIR)  |

Seeing a Rising need for the growing Industrial Complex surrounding the City of Omsk, CUF expanded its business, constructing its own Hospital. Dubbed the "Hospital Rainha Santa", it was completely staffed by professionals under the employ of CUF. Protocols were put in place to provide Healthcare discounts for CUF and SIR employees, as well as other members of their household. Kindergartens were built for the children, and many other facilities to tend to the needs of the labor force. Little by Little, CUF would carve itself a corner in every local market niche.  |
