Arising from the ashes of its recent revolution our nations seek to leave our mark on this world. With stunning vast coastlines and beautiful valleys, the nation sits on the fertile and abundant region of its island. Most known for its prestigious universities and the nation's globally recognised engineering innovation. The largest industry and exporter of the nation is the Civil group. A company devoted to creating high-quality military and civil mechanical devices. Other major exports of the Republic are steel, magnetite iron ore, rum, paper, and luxury furniture, rubber. Located on the equator the nation is filled with prosperous jungles and rainforests. A harsh yet rewarding enviroment to those who are willing to tame it. Additionally filled with exotic fruits and plants found in other place in the world. With no seasons the nation does experience a harsh and long monsoon season with tends to occur early within the year. The current elected president of the nation is Krystof Vernon, leader of the left Social Democratic Union. The elected office of the prime minister is taken by the opposition leader Ondrea Zdenka. Whom duties are to assist and represent the nation on a state level while the president attends to federal duties. Alignment of the Queen: Social Democratic President party: Social Democratic Union Prime minister party: The United Republic party Royal Family
Her majesty the Queen Anastasia holds limited power within the government of the nation. Following the great revolution in 1890 which saw the assassination of her father Albert the II the nation's absolute monarchy went into turmoil along with the nation. With very limited options and as the newly crowned queen of the crippling nation (known as the United Kingdom of Islonia at the time) Anastasia announced the dismantlement of the monarchist government in her famous speech of 1891. With this announcement came a new Representative democracy which remains to the current day. A complete overhaul of the country's constitution and governing system. Anastasia to this day acts as a popular figurehead within the public eye, despite having no government power she uses her public opinion to influence certain political movements and also endorse candidates for the president position.

Political Overview
Before the revolution, Valanion was governed largely at the whim of the Royal Family, with some democratic elements. However, once the Royal Family lost power the nation was transformed into a Republic. Despite this, the heir to the throne was rewarded for standing against her father and was made Queen in an entirely ceremonial position due to her popularity with the people. Now the President acts as the primary leader of the country, appointing a Prime Minister who can gain a majority in the lower house of parliament, while the upper house acts as a house of review.
President
The President remains technically appointed by the Queen, one of her last de jure sources of power in the Republic. Despite this, the President is chosen by the people in a two-round system, with the Queen appointing whoever wins. Though the Queen can technically appoint anyone she wishes, if she were to ever do so she would likely be quickly deposed. The President acts as the main executive of the nation, setting the overall agenda of national policy and largely having free reign over foreign policy. A presidential term is 5 years, with 4 terms being the maximum allowed constitutionally. Despite this, a president reaching all 4 terms is relatively rare.
Parliament and the Prime Minister
The lower house of parliament is elected with Proportional Representation, with a 5% national threshold (national minorities are exempt), while the Senate is elected with equal representation for each region. The Prime Minister is chosen from a majority in the Lower House (negative parliamentarism) though if no one is chosen by a third round of voting the President may step in and appoint a minority government. The Senate has the power to block most bills, but may only delay Supply and Confidence votes, as it cannot decide which government rules in the Lower House. The term of the lower house is traditionally 4 years, however, early elections can be called, and a PM can only serve for 2 parliamentary periods. The Upper house is elected for 8-year terms (or two lower house terms) with half being elected in each election.
The Council of Ministers
The executive council is only convened by the Queen in emergencies, where it gains emergency powers not subject to the wills of either house of parliament. This is made up of the Queen, two appointed advisors, the President, the PM and the Inner ministry.

Cultures
The ethnic groups of the republic are dominated by 3 primary cultures. All 3 originated from the roots of Isvold. However, during the early 100s split into 3 due to the overgrowing contrasting beliefs. All of the cultures speak the same language as Valdonian which originated from the Valdon cultural group. _________________
Islonue (Islonian)
Ethic culture percentage: 10%
Most prominent in the far north of the nation the culture has always been the smaller of its counterparts. These people particularly hold a very rich food history, always being known for their generous feasts and celebration of life. Another unique aspect is the traditional music which boasts a combination of Folk and…. _________________
Lustaria (Lustarian)

Geographically located in the north and south mountains. Known for endurance and efficient scavenging techniques these people have survived in harsh winter conditions for thousands of years. _________________
Valdon (Valdonian).
Ethic culture percentage: 70%
By the far, the largest ethnic culture and the youngest, Valdon has existed as the primary culture of the nation for centuries. Obsessed with the arts and engineering these people have always dominated in knowledge. But the culture also puts focus on its music and expression of its ideas through the built environment.

Minorites
With the pro-immigration act introduced after the 1890 revolution, the nation has seen a steady climb of new minorities entering its borders. However, met with resistance by the local population cultural oppression has been an active issue plaguing the nation. Laws have been passed since the Canarian incident in the south of Elisor in 1901. Which introduced protective rights to a select few minority groups.
Despite the internal issue minorities still enjoy the same benefits as the indigenous population.

Military
Core military Branch
Total: 1,345,869
Active: 500,425
Reserves: 845,471
Conscripts: up to 2 million (only allowed when the nation is in a state of emergency)
With the revolution the entire military system was overhauled. Its high ranking officers were changed and with the military anti-corruption act in 1897 saw the establishment of an anti corruption agency that would investigate unusual events. If in any case of war the nation would need more troops at its disposal. Through emergency powers can only the queen and president pass the executive Valanion Lasts act. Which poses the power to conscript an additional 2 million men effective immediately.
Uniform
Due to the tropical climate of the nation the main uniform used consists of green and browns, in order to blend into its environment. But also light colours to reduce the absorbing of extra heat which could overwhelm the soldiers
High ranking officers and executives.

Chief of staff: Anthon Nicolette
Marshal: Andrea la zona, Patrick Telsta,
Royal Comminsed officer: Flipip La Sinestra
The imperial guards' Sub Branch
Still standing after the great revolution the imperial branch of the military was the only part that remained in the new reformed military structure. Created by Emperor Martin the imperial guards withheld the duty to protect the crown and her assets. And thus has been doing that for the last 300 years. Now led by General (name) and the commissioned officer (name) who was appointed by her majesty. The imperial guards are one of the most respected and trained fighters in the nation. The process of becoming an imperial gaurd requires a strict 4 years of training before being eligible to pledge their loyalty to the crown and country. Due to this pledge this branch of the military is strictly only used for the defence of the homeland.
As of now there are approximately 12 divisions of imperial guard, with 7 regiments within each division. Each one contains its own leading major general.
Total: 98,000

The Republican guards' Sub Branch
Established after the great revolution the republican branch of the military has only the obligation to serve the president, prime minister, and government. Thus allowing them to be stationed outside of the nation. However not as prestigious as the imperial guards they still to be highly regarded within the military ranks. Those who wish to join only have to go for training of 2 years before being eligible to be drafted within the branch.

Navy page 1
Although not as prestigious and large as other nations the Valanion navy still stands to be a comparable force. Despite some of its outdated equipment due to the nation's naval production halting to a standstill during and after the great revolution (1890). It wasn’t until 10 years later that the government resumed its naval ambitions. Led by the Cheif of Naval Operations Axel Madris and the vice chief officer Lauran Salato who was appointed the position by the queen. Being the first female to ever reach such a high rank within the Military, however, the queen's decision has been highly criticised by Military executives. The majority of designs of the navy have been purchased from our allies. This is due to the country's lack of innovation and engineering when it comes down to amphibious objects. However, things are increasingly changing as the nation has finally put the navy as a crucial part of its defence.
