Short overview of the Economy of the People's Republic



The new Economic system of Rodina is built around Central Planning.
With Central Planning can the state harnesses land, labor, and capital to serve the economic objectives of the state. Consumer demand can be restrained in favor of greater capital investment for economic development in the desired pattern.


This system allows the People's Republic to  start building massive heavy industries at once even if the prior economy from the old Imperial era would be considered underdeveloped by most nations. This has lead the way for a massive leap in development as more and more projects are finished and grander and grander projects get underway.


Natural resources: Rodinas wast landmass offers her a large pool of resources from timber, ores, and petrol products. But the shifting climates and tundras make harvesting these quite a task and during the imperial age was it considered too expensive to try. During the Civil War did the focus change, and the need for self-sufficiency ended up dominating the scene. Now is Rodina isolated from most markets and thanks to central planning are massive projects under ways to start harvesting these resources. And as the civil war continues are frontlines were created and the supply lines formed to supply the Red Army is building a way for new permanent infrastructure that eventually will make the resources cheaper to acquire.

The Rodinan Currency is a locked currency that is only viable inside Rodina. Foreign currency is illegal and holding it is punishable by the law.
Trade with foreign powers is done with products or raw materials.

Agriculture: Rodina has massive farmlands that fed the large population, but with the Communist State taking hold and private farms being forced into collective farms has the efficiency of these farms fallen and starvation is no longer an unknown factor in Rodina. The State blames the Civil War and the enemy forces.
