Parliamentary Office of President Igor Predive 14th of February 1903 12:57 Igor rushed about his office organising his things and preparing for his departure when his secretary burst into the room startling the man but he quickly recovered to face the Secretary who had clearly been running. "I have been able to uncover a plot, they wish to kill you for attempting to engage with these people who are so closely related to the previous tyrant." He had already decided and he quickly dismissed the secretary before preparing to leave, and although he tried to ignore it he was still worried about this attempt and how much involvement was from the Moderal agents who had killed his close friends who had fought alongside him for their independence.
He decided to take the back route to the airship as it would probably be safer then a ship to foreign attack above the clouds. He quickly put the necessary documentation in his suitcase and grabbed his ceremonial sword as the symbol of his office. He hurried down the corridor towards the surrounding grounds and towards his airship. It would take an hour to prepare so he took the time to send a message to the Captain of the ship designated to take him, To leave dock immediately and hope these would be assassins would go for the wrong target.
Personal House of President Igor Predive 14th of February 1903 13:31
Shasha Predive sat at her house reading reports of far off conflicts in a place called Kaskader, beneath the awning of the house with the ocean stretched out before her. watching the dolphins leap from the waves and the children playing on the beach and just hoping her husband didn't have to attend this meeting on the opposite side of the world.
The building next door the first 2 men pulled out their blow pipes and quickly subdued the 2 guards while the erd man quickly vaulted the gap between the buildings and made his way above the First Lady and jumped down and quickly clamped her mouth with chloroform and after a short struggle subdued Shasha.
They quickly brought her limp body to the waiting carriage and it rushed off.

The airship was ready and Soon the president and his 4 guards boarded the airship along with his pilot and 2 of his advisors. The airship lifted off quickly with very little weight onboard and headed strait into the clouds aiming to keep out of sight as much of the journey as possible. He sent a radio message to be relayed to the Colony to the north to prepare a landing strip and fuel from where they would sent a message to the DOC asking for fuel resupplies for their journey.

Governor-General Manius received the request from his aide without great thought. He stuffed the last bit of an egg salad sandwich into his mouth, brushing the crumbs off into the bin beside his desk. The request would normally be entrusted to someone of less importance, but someone in the telegraph office had the good sense to pass it along. He scrawled back a reply, to be sent along, and settled in for his afternoon drink.
Sir,
If it were in my power, I would have your request authorized on behalf of my duty in service of Her Ephemeral Majesty and the Divinian Offshore Company. However, I regret to inform you that the Southern Isles have no airship docks, and as such refueling your vessel would prove difficult. Your best chance would be to make port in Magdalenum if you cannot make the distance to St. Helena on your current supplies. There is a frequently used airship route from there to St. Helena.
However, in the interest of ensuring we are of use to Her Ephemeral Majesty in resolving this dispute, we would be willing to cover the cost of refueling your vessel once you make port there. A register may be sent to this office for reimbursement. I am reasonably assured the Magdali will accept this on credit.
Godspeed, Governor-General Alphonsus Manius

The airship's arrival is met with little ceremony. One of the navy's dirigible's sails by and signals the ship to land on the crown's private airfield. Since the last to the Theocracy, the little airfield has been turned from a small clearing in the forests around the castle to a gated off cement landing pad with several hangars. The airfield is locked and staffed with a full guard. The Prime Minister sits at near the gates to the airfield, awaiting the arriving party. While the relations between Magdalenum and these perceived rebels were tense, when did relation between both nation get any better than this? Both nations had been allies in the Great War yes, but neither side had ever trusted the other. If the rebels proved themselves trustworthy, Isabel saw no issue in easing tensions. That being said, she would still prefer Von Marcum as their king. Still, she would not force it. The Asderaordians had had their first taste of true freedom, and at least for that, she thanked God.

Royal Magdalenum Airfield 18th February 1903 09:23
President Igor Predive watched the men scramble for the ratlines to pull the airship down. He wondered why he was being brought to a royal airfield when he had only asked for refueling. The airship was hauled down in good order and as it did Igor saw a man approaching the airship. As the airship touched down Igor went over to the man and began talking. The man introduced himself as an aide to the Prime Minister and invited the group to talk with the Prime Minister himself. The President was unsure of this offer, remembering the past betrayal by Magdalenum during the last war, but considering the hospitality, he decided to meet with the prime minister but had to remember he could only stay a few hours at most until the Airship was refueled.

"Welcome to Magdalenum, Mister President." Said the PM. "I trust the trip was pleasant?" The Prime Minister turned to his aide, telling to go fetch a car. "We won't keep you for long, I promise. We'll just have a quick car tour of the city, and then I have something important to tell you in my office. If that is alright with your Excellency, that is. If not we can just go straight to the office and then you can be on your merry way."

A quick car ride would be good. I would get to see Magdalenum first hand. If it is ok with you I would like to have 2 guards with me in the car and leave everyone else in the airship.

Having agreed to let the man bring guards along, the Prime Minister hopped on a car and told the driver to ride though the city. They drove through the more touristy bits of Magalhães, but the driver did not shy away from more obscure alleyways. the City was full of Colorful streets ornately paved sidewalks, and beatifully painted tile. After the quick tour was over, the party arrived at the PM's office in the downtown.
"So, now onto business. You are visiting the Imperium Divinum to try and smooth relations over yes?" He said, pouring Wisky into two glasses. "While we won't necessarily vouch for you in this ordeal, we are more than willing to act as a moderating party in the inevitable discussions that will ensue. War on the East is the last thing we want right now. I sincerely hope we can mend our long history of rocky relations in the future, given the chance. And I'd wager Her Majesty feels the same way."

Igor sat for a moment considering the offer before he made his mind. I appreciate the offer however I don't believe outside moderation will be necessary for this situation. However, I will be willing to come back here on the way back and join the discussion on the measurement standards as this would benefit everyone. Igor thanked the Prime minister for his hospitality.

The personal Airship of President Igor Predive 18th February 1903 14:20 The Car made it safely to the airship which was doing the final checks before takeoff. Igor made his way onto the airship and thanked the Magdelese for their hospitality and fuel before once again ascending through the clouds. The airship speeding above the clouds gave Igor a good chance to take some time to himself and think about what had happened the past few months. The clouds beneath painting pictures with the speckled blue of the ocean below. The peaceful nature of nature and his surroundings contrasted with the ferocious fighting spanning the globe, destroying the natural beauty with the great dreadnoughts belching forth huge columns of smoke mirrored on land by the massive factories producing millions of weapons for the various soldiers to simply kill each other for the fame and glory of their commanders and leaders, for minimal compensation with their wages. He thought back to before the Federation with the rule of the Eminence and his daughter and son-in-law who had put his homeland firmly on the world stage while making a complete fool of himself managing to not be killed by the enemy abroad or dying from old age but being sacrificed on the Ilhacao temples to their bloodthirsty gods. His daughter who fought against the Ilhacao and led an international coalition to drive them back to their jungle homes before betraying the coalition multiple times to eventually side with the people who killed her father. Despite his hard work Igor wondered whether he and his government could ever make up for the mistakes of the past, Even now they regressed back to the monarchs to please the mighty Imperium Divinian for invading their lands. He hadn't been that oppositional to the monarchy with his family being some of the few people who weren't enslaved by the upper class due to their wit had managed to keep a farm for generations and as a result probably wasn't that opposed to the monarchy but he new that bringing back Gabriel von Marcum, a foreigner no less to sit upon the throne would have backlash. He worried for what was to come but told himself that it would all work out in the end even if it meant his resignation. He just hoped that they could find a way to convince the sadaler to had back Theodora who despite all the shortcomings was the true descendant of the throne and could potentially have an heir to continue instead of plunging the Federation back into civil war.
The personal Airship of President Igor Predive
24th February 1903
13:32
The city of St Helena Belched forth Columns of smoke the sky becoming a thick grey cloud of choking and soot. The Airship descending to the city the Imperial Palace shining in the distance seat of the Von Marcums and his destination. He also took the time to examine the ships at anchor in the harbour and many roads throughout the city. Beneath the Airship the landing crew grabbed the ropes and efficiently hauling down the airship in mere moments. Igor grabbed his Briefcase and along with his entourage stepped down the Gangway.

There was little pomp to greet the Asderaordian party as they disembarked, save for a fleet of vehicles and a stone-faced old man in a well pressed morning suit. He approached the President, placing his hand over his heart. “Salve. I am Thomas Pisscator, Senior Magister of Serfs. The Senate has authorized me to collect you and bring you to the palace. Shall we be off?”

The city sprawled in front of the vehicles as they passed, with the ocean glinting distantly through the sea of buildings as the vehicles moved on. Although St. Helena was a port city, over hundreds of years it had expanded, creeping inland along the Sanguine River. The wide thoroughfare of the Via Anneliese in the heart of the city eventually gave way to smaller, cobbled boulevards as they crossed a bridge over the delta. On a high bluff, stood the Federal District. The group passed the Cathedral of St. Charles, with its ubiquitous purpled tile roof, and the Sable Hall (where the senate met), before finally rounding into the grounds of the Argent Palace.
The building lived up to its name, with the marbled facade covered in vermeil. Atop the tallest spires stood statues of a woman, arms lowered toward the ground, as if beckoning people inside her halls. No matter how many times Thomas had visited the palace, it always moved him. Divinium was the best in the world, he had decided long ago.
When the cars finally rounded to the front of the building, he stepped out, informed the guard, and waited for his guests to disembark.
“I have work to see to. These men will escort you to the meeting chambers”

Igor stood up out of the car and marveled at the city around him with its vibrant colours and gleaming ocean. He compared it to the capital Predorvia and he really notice the differences between the two, it reminded him to plan some renovations when he returned to Duom Asderaordia. He quickly went up the stairs to the doors of the palace. The massive doors were swung open as he walked up and the heart of the Imperium Stared back.

The group was flanked by members of the Divinian Fusiliers as they entered the palace. The guards had not made any attempt to detain the Asderaordian guards, who were allowed entry with the president. The group was brought to a chamber off the main hall, which was intimately furnished with a small, circular walnut table and velvet chairs.
Catherine was already sat at the table, cradling Aurelius in her arms. To her left sat Gabriel, an angry red scar prominent from his eyebrow to the corner of his mouth. Neither mustered much of a reaction in way of recognition as the guard spoke.
“You stand before Her Ephemeral Majesty, Catherine von Marcum, by the grace of God and will of the Aera, Holy Empress and Dictator Perpetuo of the Imperium Divinium, Queen of Divinium, Marcum, and Tanysira, High Queen of the Gankands, Sovereign Princess of Chalphys, Grand Duchess of Tateland, Suzerain of the Petrine Doninions, Archduchess of St Helena, Princess Popularus of Chalphys and of Sorleis, Duchess of Rigel and of Munflotd, Countess of Mainzell, Leostädtt, Astranum, Ludenz, Coronae’i’Xarn, and Marchioness of Neuvele and Gautier.”

The President Bowed as he entered followed by his Guards who after bowing waited outside the room. The President asked permission to sit in her presence before taking a seat opposite the 2 Marcums before him. He started with offering an apology personally to the Exiled Emperor explaining that he was personally not responsible for his exile and hoped to be able to make up for it now with this new proposal. He began to layout the proposal.
1. The Empire of Duom Asderaordia was to be restored 2. It was to be a dual Rulership Between 1 hereditary ruler and 1 elected by popular vote for a 10-year term. 3. The People must not be enslaved again 4. The dual Emporers can veto a decision of the other

Both Gabriel and Catherine listened silently as the man made his case, careful not to express interest or disapproval as he spoke. When the president had finished Gabriel opened his mouth to speak, but Catherine placed a hand on his shoulder to cut him off. Finally, she spoke, directing her words to a guard standing in the doorway.
“Captain, who is the hereditary monarch of Divinium?”
He looked perplexed, either by the question or being spoken to. “No one Ma’am. The Emperor is elected.”
“And the slaves Captain? Do they have a vote?”
Again he looked aghast. “Ma’am… Divinium has not allowed slavery since the constitution was signed.”
Satisfied, she returned her attention to the president. “My nation has had revolutions before. It has had republics before. Three in fact. They never last. Do you know why? The people are stupid. They do not think, they react. They chose to blame society, their leaders, the gods, for their misfortunes. They want an enemy. Theodora was an enemy to your people. But she was still your queen. You see, my people have learned this truth. You may abhor your monarch, but the rule of law must always stand.”
Unsure if her point was being understood, she forged on. “A year ago we would have accepted your offer. A year ago, we would have even believed you if you’d acquiesced. But you did not. Your people are impertinent. They may accept a monarch now, but what happens when situations grow dire, as they are wont to do? Are we to send him back, knowing how he was dismissed based on a marriage he had no choice in? Return to a country that was cruel enough to send a child off to their death? In your peoples haste to throw off the shackles they were placed in, they have alienated their only friends. Even now, the nations of the world haven’t torn you to ribbons at MY behest. Any clemency afforded your people was my design. My interference on your behalf! We detest slavery. We detest absolutism! And now that you’ve spit in our face and are set to reap what you’ve sown, you sue for peace? We don’t believe you, and we don’t believe the people of your nation!”

Igor sat there taking in what had been said, He was, of course, disappointed and now slightly worried that a decision might be reached at all but he took a breath and tried to gain an understanding of the Marcum's wants. He asked the Empress what she wanted to see from this situation.

“What do I want? I want your people to cease their territorial expansions at once! You’ve more than proven yourself an enemy of my family and my people. I’ll not have you continuing to expand your borders ever closer to Latin Territory!” By now she was near shouting, startling Aurelius awake. Shocked by her own lack of composure, Catherine dropped back into her seat, drawing in a deep breath.
“Your North-Eastern colony will be administered as a demilitarized zone, and we will receive exclusive trade rights to nickel, steel, gold, and zinc, set at 7% below market value. You can keep your government. I want nothing to do with the running of your nation. This is the best offer I will give you.”
