Firearm must be producable entirely within the borders of the Association On behalf of thata Hauhkunoleiks Wepn en Fonarmsgiuthus, we present to you the Taikns ↋ Maggigsgafeht. While we understand your desire to use a magazine, we must present you with our option. Rather than having a simple twenty round magazine, we decided to test out an experimental hopper system which allows for the gun to be continuously loaded whilst in operation using your standard clips. The hopper can be, if so desired, removed from the guns body and replaced with a traditional belt, but we feel that you should benefit from the hopper, as it allows your infantrymen and machine gunners to use the same bullets pre-packed from the factories and to also redistribute ammunition between each other as seen fit, which could be a great benefit to them in a battlefield situation. The prototype hopper can take six clips of ,280 Sheenish, giving it a maximum capacity of seventy-two rounds, which makes it slightly unwieldy when used on the move without the bipod. That said, we also have a second hopper design that is half the size of the first, which we feel gives the soldiers in the field a better weight to round ratio. Whilst only being able to hold thirty-six rounds, we feel that its ease of operation and reload does not significantly reduce its viability. As per your request, it can be fired both in fully automatic and semi-automatic through a selector switch that changes the firing mechanism, which we feel should be capable of withstanding twenty-five thousand usages before requiring disassembly and replacement. It comes standard with with a bipod that can be secured against the body of the gun quickly by simply pushing them into the catch mechanism and removed with only a minor amount of pressure applied. A wooden foregrip can likely be attached to the front of the gun and a bayonet lug can be removed or added as well. Unfortunately, we were unable to meet the exact minimum weight required, instead with our model coming in at twenty-two and a half pounds, with a length of forty-three and a third inches. If necessary, we could reduce the weight by shortening the barrel, but that would reduce the effective range by some hundred yards. That said, we can assure you that it far exceeds your minimum range requirements, being able to hit targets at up to eight-hundred and seventy yards, with a maximum range of some four-thousand. Likewise, we have managed to exceed your minimum rate of fire, with our entry achieving a reliable five-hundred rounds a minute. We would be more than happy to manufacture these items for the Association and its military within its lands, should they be deemed acceptable. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Type_11_light_machine_gun

The Army Rifle Commission has put out a requirement list for a new rifle for the 1200s: .280 Sheenish Calibre At least 20 round magazine, must be detachable Semi Automatic, optionally also usable as a light machine gun Able to have forward grips, Bipods and Bayonets fixed Should optionally be able to take a larger magazine Must not be more expensive to manufacture than Model 1196 Self Loading Rifle, and at least as reliable Must not be heavier than 4.4 kg Must be accurate up to at least 500m A controlled rate of supressive fire of 400 RPM must be achieved if selective fire capability is added. Firearm must be producable entirely within the borders of the Association Compañía del Monte entry:After hearing of your request for a new firearm, we at Compañía del Monte would like to present the Primer Modelo Automatico, or PMA-A1 for short. We believe it will satisfy your needs. Although the .280 Sheenish isn’t the weapon’s native cartridge, it is fully possible to retool the design to fit this requirement without any issue or stoppage. The magazine has a capacity of 25 rounds and is detachable. However, there is the added feature of accepting stripper clips if necessary. The front furniture can be made with or without a forward vertical grip. In either case, there are attachment points for bayonets and bipods. Larger magazine sizes, such as 30 and 40 rounds, are available at the expense of going over the stated weight limit. With normal magazines installed, it weighs 4.4 kilograms. It has a fire mode selector, with which you can select semi-automatic, fully automatic, and burst fire modes. Burst fire mode is the best mode for firing at targets at 500m. Semi-automatic mode is more useful at 300-400m. Full automatic fire is most useful for close range combat or suppression. The rate of fire on fully automatic mode is 350-400 rounds per minute. (Some information links: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fedorov_Avtomat#Production_and_servicecollections.royalarmouries.org/first-world-war/type/rac-narrative-151.html) Narikira Industries entry:In response to the competition occurring in The Associated Cities of Sheen, our designers have created the Ichi no Jidō Shōjū. The IJS is a magazine-fed light machine gun or automatic rifle with semi-automatic capabilities. This design comes with either a 20 round magazine or a 40 round magazine which is useful for anti-aircraft roles. These magazines, and indeed the firearm itself is able to accept .280 Sheenish cartridges. The weapon’s furniture is able to be installed with foregrips, furthermore, the barrel has a bayonet lug. There is also a bipod attachment point. Unfortunately, we’ve had to make sacrifices in terms of mass, as the IJS weighs 7.25 kilograms. With the proper sight adjustments, this rifle is capable of effective fire from 91 to 1,372 meters. The IJS is standardized at a firing rate of 400 rounds per minute, but can be modified from a minimum of 300 to a maximum of 600. Firearm must be producable entirely within the borders of the Association The Sheenish Company, Yerkes Ordinance, presented the work of two of it's internal designers, namely Mr D Fletcher and G Hill, who came up with a gas operated rifle that could be chambered into both .303 and .280 Sheenish. The design when chambered .280 could accept 20 round and 70 round drum magazines, or a 12 round stick magazine, drum magazines chosen for easier use prone. The initial design was only Semi Automatic however Mr Hill promised that given the request for select fire, he would make edits to the original design to allow for a select fire 400 RPM setting, with work being done to achieve 500 RPM as soon as possible. The weight of the gun was merely 4.4 kg, however the standout feature was an effective range of 1400m, far beyond the range requested. Similarly a high reliability level was advertised with an intermediate spring between the piston and bolt. Dyson Yerkes, CEO of the company, also went to a great effort of pointing out the fact that it was Sheenish designed, and therefore of course easily made within the Association with existing tooling for the barrel too.

Firearm must be producable entirely within the borders of the Association Blodwen Tomidottar, a firearms armourer in the White Blood territory, and an officer of their rather small army, has submitted a design to the Associations Army, along with a functional prototype there is also a letter to the committee: Good tidings and blessings to the members of the Sheenish Associations Army Rifle Commission I have heard of your need for a new rifle and while my own design does not fully fit the specifications listed as it is too heavy, I decided I should submit it anyway as it has not yet been approved for use in my own army. The original prototype was designed for our own cartridges but I have done my best to convert this one to your own standards, however the listed specifications are from tests with the original prototype so there may be a few inconsistencies. The Model B19 has a detachable drum magazine with a capacity of 97 rounds which is attached and detached from the centre, threaded through the stock of the gun, it has dual triggers, the forwards one being for automatic and the backwards for semi-automatic and it can fire at a rate of around 500 to 600 rounds per minute when fired fully automatic, this is achieved through its large gas piston found underneath the barrel of the gun, a design taken from a larger autocanon. The barrel itself on this prototype has been knurled for better cooling but this is not a requirement and can be skipped to decrease production costs, the bolt itself has interrupted locking lugs to increase surface area and insure against misfires and is fired through a rotating bolt system, in addition the bolt handle is non-reciprocating and features a stow-away safety wherein the handle is rotated into a locked position and held in place via a spring. The Model B19 may be fired either from the shoulder or via an attachable tripod, although I have not personally developed a bipod or bayonet for this firearm, they would be easy enough to develop and the gun is more then able to use either with barely any modifications, however, the firearm does weigh more then the specified requirements (at a total of 8.6kg) and I cannot imagine many ways in which to improve this issue besides an entire redesign of the gas system. I hope you will consider my design for future use by your forces, even if it may not fit the exact requirements presented, note that this gun has also been submitted for use and production to both the Kingdom of the Middle People (The White-Bloods) and the Theocratic Dominion of New Respite.

As the only two rifles to meet the design requirements in their entireties, the PMA-A1 and the Fletcher-Hill Automatic Rifle will be tested against one another, once the PMA-A1 is rechambered to .280 Sheenish.
