Explanation of the Government and Administration Part 1 Constitution: The State Constitution is the basis for the Sovereign's authority and limitation. The articles lay down the most basic laws, such as guarantees of rights. Here are the articles: Article 1 (The people’s article): The people shall have representation, a voice before their sovereign. The people will be able to elect their representatives in each prefecture. Article 2 (The article of tyranny): The Sovereign may not selectively choose any one people in our nation to oppress them. This applies both to foreigners and our domestic people groups. Article 3 (The article of freedoms): The people shall be allowed autonomy over their lives. They shall eat what they like, do what they like, and work what they like. The people shall not have their property seized by the military nor shall they otherwise suffer because of them. Furthermore, petty criminals or criminals of necessity shall not be dealt with treacherously nor injuriously. Likewise, those who adopt a slave, only to abuse them, is in fact abusing their family and a legal citizen. Elaboration of the Restriction Act: The Restriction Act is a law passed by a Ryukyuan Sovereign in the past to restrict the sales of slaves and firearms. To own a firearm, you must apply for a permit at the local magistrate’s office, courthouse, or tax collector. To apply for a permit, you must give a valid reason, two civilian referrals, and one official referral. To properly buy a firearm, you would go to a state-owned shop. Once you purchase the gun, you register it in-shop. The process for a slave permit is similar, however there is the added stipulation that you must prove that you’re financially stable enough to support having one or more slaves. Because slaves are considered family in Ryukyu, mistreating them can result in negligence or domestic abuse charges. Both of these usually carry prison time or corporal punishment.

Explanation of Military Weapons Part 1 Type-K series:Type-K1: Manufactured as the Primer Modelo Automatico, this light machine/battle rifle sees use in the Imperial Marines and the Imperial Army as a squad automatic weapon. It is also used as a primary weapon by some units. Type-T series: The Type-T1 is a bolt action rifle chambered in 7.7 x 58 mm. It has a 5 round internal magazine. Effective range: 656 meters. The Type-T1A is a modified version of the rifle that’s more reliable in cold conditions. The Type-T1C is a carbine version of the rifle used by dragoons. The Type-T1G is a T1 with an attachable muzzle device that allows for launching hand grenades. The Type-T2 is a semi-automatic rifle. It is a Sadalen (Chiheisengoku) design retooled to 7.7 x 58 mm. To maintain some similarity with the T1, it retains the 5 round capacity and T1 iron sights. The Type-T2C is a semi-automatic carbine. The Type-T3 is a fully operational removable external magazine fed rifle. It’s the same as the T2, but it carries 10 rounds instead of 5. The Type-T3C is a carbine version given to dragoons, marines, and certain army roles. Type-P1: The Type-P1 is a 6 round double action revolver. It uses a 9 mm cartridge. Due to the now prevalent trade with Chiheisengoku, officers often purchase different pistols, such as semi-automatics or higher caliber revolvers. Guntō: The gunto is a saber used by military officers and other personnel. It is inspired by the Japanese Katana, which the Ryukyuans faced on the ancient battlefields during the Island Wars. After many years of victory, Ryukyuans adopted some Japanese martial practices and tools, one of these was the iconic curved sword. When the nation industrialized, they needed a sword pattern for the military, thus the gunto was created. Most gunto are factory-made, however, wealthy officers often purchase forged gunto from blacksmiths. Type-M1: The Type-M1 is an air-cooled, open bolt heavy machine gun. It feeds from an ammunition belt of 50-100 rounds. It is chambered in 7.7 x 58 mm. Effective range is 800 meters. Rate of fire is 450 rounds per minute. A crew or three operates these on the battlefield, the bipod carrier, the gun carrier, and the ammo carrier who is also a rifleman.

The Type-B2 is a proper mortar. It has a range of 120 m to 5 km. If you use the special rounds, you can get a 6 km range out of it. It fires a 82 mm projectile.
Type-D series artillery: The Type-D1 is a direct fire artillery gun. It fires a 47×285 mm projectile, usually high explosive, but kinetic shot is possible. The Type-D2 is a howitzer that carries HE and incendiary rounds.

Ryukyuan History Episode 1: The Island Wars The Island Wars were a series of conflicts and political statī quo. In reality, the island wars were won by the Ryukyu Sovereignty. In essence, these wars were a three-way battle for domination of Yūhi between the Ryukyu peoples, the Japanese, and the Ainu. Technically, Chiheisengoku (Sadalen) was also involved. When the Japanese attempted to take the Ryukyu islands in 1403 and failed, the people united under a Bushō and retaliated. They took some coastal cities. Over time, more wars were fought; The Northern Island Campaign, The Honshu Offensives, et cetera. There were many cultural changes during these conflicts, for example, the Ryukyuans did not originally have or use swords, but they took these from the Japanese. Also, a few karate styles started copying jujutsu techniques, which made Ryukyuan unarmed martial arts one of the most well-rounded, for they had strikes and stand-up grappling, but nothing on the ground. In terms of armed martial arts, kenjutsu was now either practiced on its own, or as a part of kobudo.

The Office of Safety and Health Administration AKA “Health and Safety” (OSHA) OSHA is an office in the Department of the Economy. It regulates occupational safety and food quality. OSHA places limits on acceptable worktime, especially in factories, which use dangerous machines. They also outline various mandatory safety features such as emergency power switches, fire hydrants, extinguishers, and other things. OSHA is also responsible for domestic and imported food products. They test for and give certification for commercially prepared raw fish foods. They instated the ban on selling or importing blood or bloody food as a consumable item. Due to the lack of processed or chemically preserved foods, there hasn’t yet been any regulations regarding these things. Other bans include: ”Non-medicinal mind-altering substances” ”Substances that are objectively harmful when ingested in any way” ”The employment of children in factories or other facilities considered ‘high-risk’ by OSHA”

Military Doctrine of the Army Before Arrival of the Raikh’s Officers The Ryukyuan Army currently uses what they call ‘Defensive Doctrine’. The idea is to force the enemy into a battle and fight defensively. The main battlegroup is supported by skirmisher squadrons and cavalry. This doctrine comes from the form of warfare used by the Mountain Republic’s pike-and-shotte tercios. However, instead of pikes, there are fortifications. Instead of arquebuses, rifles. Instead of blocks or lines of infantry, a more spaced out battlegroup. The main battlegroup consists of riflemen, machine gun crews, and artillery gun crews. Skirmisher squads consist of riflemen and mortarmen. Cavalry regiments can be of dragoons, lancers, or cuirassiers.
