As Isabel looked over the maps at the war table, she couldn't help but notice the reports on the Continent East of the Isles. The region directly East of Castelo Real, which they called the "Costa Negra" due to its tall Basaltic cliffs, was mostly uninhabited save for a few native "kingdoms". It had been proven by prior expeditions that the areas further inland were rich on iron and gold. All in all, it would be the perfect starting point for overseas expansion. Plus, a great chance to test the Restructured Army, under her husband's command.
"You were saying, Your Highness?" Said General de Sousa.
"It's time we showed the world what Magdali can do when they put their minds to it," She said. "We're taking Costa Negra."
"Finally, someone with the balls to do something! No offense your Highness." Said the new Prime Minister.
"Understood. Semper Fidelis. But, and apologies for asking Your Highness, what about the Assembly?"
"What about them? They have no say in the matter. They will do as they're told."
"Very well. I'll call in soldiers from the Reserve."
