The Tholish kingdom is two islands ruled under a semi-constitutional monarchy which holds both a king and a parliment. The nation is composed of highly industrialized Tholish dominated valleys along the major rivers and agrarian mountainous regions made up of mostly pict and lowlander populations.

The Tholish military is a volunteer force to that end it maintains strict recruitment standards to ensure excellence. To that end the force contains only 350,000 men however the force is one of the best equipped and most disciplined army in the world.
