My fellow residents of the illustrious region of Victrix, I believe it is time to look beyond our roots and expand beyond the rp. To that end the Codification of a constitution is necessary in order to allow the establishment of a government to had external and internal affairs. My proposal for a constitution to fill that role is as follows: Victrix's Constitution
Victrix's electoral body shall be composed of all members of the forum who are somewhat active. Through a simple majority, the electorate elects a Princeps. Elections shall occur twice a year during the summer and winter solstice. Said Princeps shall appoint ministers to help handle the affairs of the state. The Princeps shall handle foreign affairs and may create treaties that to be ratified require simple majority approval from the electorate. At any time the electorate may call for the removal of the Princeps from office. for the motion of removal to succeed it requires approval from a two-thirds simple majority of the electorate. Any change to the Constitution requires two-thirds simple majority approval from the electorate. I for whatever reason there is not a Princeps in office then an election will be called to fill the position.

I don't see anything wrong with this proposal, but the solstice has passed. Who is to be first Princeps, and where and how do we vote?

Elections outside of the solstice will occur whenever there is not a Princeps in office, good catch. elections would be done similarly to this where a discussion may be had and people may announce who they support though secret ballots definitively could be considered. |

Following Further discussion on the matter I have changed the constitution and open it up to suggestions for various additions to it. Article one
Section two: Electorate
Electorship is granted to all those who have registered a nation, make posts on the forum outside of an election or vote, or been active more than two days on the discord, administers may also at their digression bestow it.
Section two: Princeps
The Princeps shall hold the to handle external and internal affairs of state, this includes the power to write and present treaties to the electorate which shall pass with a simple majority vote of approval from the electorate, handle foreign relations, administer new sections of the forum, administer the RP if approval is acquired from the administer of the RP, and bestow all or some of these powers to others for the duration of their term.
Elections for the position of Princeps shall be held on the summer solstice, winter solstice, fall equinox, and spring equinox. Registration to run shall be opened a week before the election and voting shall extend for three days after opening. voting shall extend to all members of the electorate and a simple majority vote decides the winner.
A vote to remove the Princeps from office may be called if a vote to do so has not already been called within two weeks. a two-thirds majority of vote is necessary for the motion to pass and if it is successful a vote is immediately held after a week for registration.
If for what ever reason the Princeps has not been online for a week and no one was designated as fill the Princeps' role in the case of their absence then a vote is to be held with a two day period of registration and a two day period to vote to elect a Princeps to fill in for the absent Princeps until they return or the next election occurs.
Article two
Section one: Rules governing the RP
Rules governing behavior outside of the RP do not apply to matters within the RP which are beholden to a separate set of rules to be written at a later date. All rules in this document apply only outside the RP unless stated otherwise.
